Hi thanks for this video! I was looking up about this scan tool and it will ve the one i will buy! To the other comments in the list this scan tool is about price and no annual fee and about what it does and not to promote 800 $ and up scan tools with annual suscriptions etc if you have big pockets and dont mind spending hard earned money good to you! For the simple Diy like me its all good as long as it gjves me info and troubleshoot issues and erase codes thats what counts! Thanks again!

That thicker, weird shaped USB is called "mini usb" --- The thinner/ standard usb on our phones is "micro USB"

For transmission fluid temp on 2018 Toyota Camry follow these steps... turn the ignition ON to the accessory position or, in my case, push the start button 2x, the Auto VIN, Confirm VIN, enter Smart Key or NOT info, enter Radar Cruise or NOT info, then it will "load Data" takes a couple of minutes here to load, then Diagnosis, then Powertrain, then Transmission, "OK" to ECU controls......, Load Data screen again takes a couple of minutes, then "Live Data," scroll to #79 in the list which is "A/T Oil Temp #1", at this point START the car and the reading is live.

mine doesnt have 5 system reset it only has 2 no TPS NO TPMS you must buy a nt644 or nt634

ScannerDanner did a vid recently on the "Topdon Phoenix", which is $900.. and Is even slightly better than the D8. Basically because it can chart and graph much better.. I tried to send my D8 back, but I was passed the 30 days for return... This D8 seems to be a copy of the Autel.... So really the only two I would get for my first scan tool is the Topdon Phoenix.. or the Thinktool, which costs a little more.

The D8 rocks when it comes to programming keys and pulling pin codes, something the autel is very limited, the D8 is also good at adjusting odometers, something not only the autel will not do but most 8k scanners will not do. I love my D8BT but there have been a couple active test that hasn't worked.

I have seen videos on the Topdon Phoenix and it lacks the key programming the D8 has but I am not sure about the graphing abilities. The D8 graphing is better than my Autel. The d8 isn't a copy of the Autel they are two totally different machines. I have actually does side by side comparisons of both and the D8 does more. With that said there has been one time I had to get my Autel to activate a compressor on a 2012 Nissan Armada because even though the option was there on the D8 it would not activate it but I am sure they have fixed that by now. And even the Autel has had moments when it didn't work. I have read the Topdon used the same software Launch does and I have a launch and I like the D8 better.

@@737mechanic Yeah, since they updated the graphing and even added topography for the D8, I don't have any complaints at all.. Not long ago I seen it go down to 560 dollens for a flash 5ale.. Pretty crazy cheap for what you get. I did have an issue with it not being able to actuate some weird throttle related solenoid on a 97 f150 v6.. The button was there, but it just wouldn't do anything (when I know that the part works). But that's back when OBDII barely started, so I don't really fault it for that. I still had live data and figured out my issue anyway. It's a pretty incredible tool; I wish I would have had this in the late 90's and on from there. :) It would have saved me a lot of headaches.

@@calholli It's also 3-4 times the price. Return on investment. Do you need a high end diagnostic tool? I got my NT624 Elite for the purposes it provides. Mainly the live data and the EPB function for doing brakes.
