@@bigtimeify hi. Have you done any downloads for the vehicle or vehicles that you are trying to scan? First thing you need to do is to make sure is up-to-date with the latest version and then you can start searching for the vehicles that you want to be in your scanner. You'll need a pc and u should have all the USB cable and memory card. Good 👍 and I hope this helps.

Are you able to do a parameter reset on immobilizers on this? I have a faulty PCM that I have to change on my car and keep putting it off because I know I have to do a reset on the immobilizer which I currently can't do with my NT604

Does fault then click then the next shows codes and next to it says not ran . That means that part is at fault ? Also I only get 2 codes for powertrain . But when I drive with it plugged in drive 7 house's down than back I have 10 codes ? Is that because it got new data while driving?

Does it have mechanical/electrical blueprints?? Oh I agree they should put more special functions like they should put a view camera so someone can go further into diagnostic and plus be super convenient.

It does not have blueprints, or at least I didn't come across those while using the scanner. Viewing different cameras on the car would be super cool, but I think it's a lot more involved with car computers etc.

Great information. I am thinking of buying this model NT624...There is others like the NT644, not sure I'd get a big benefit spending more money. Question Please - For BMW E90 (2008 335XI): Can this scanner read and check that the alternator is working properly? You can certainly see charging voltage and battery voltage before and after starting the car which should help you troubleshoot your issue. Thanks for watching!

Can I see if there is a signal going to the Ac compressor when I try to turn it on from the cabin climate control?

I'm not 100% as I've never done anything like that. If the car you are working on has an AC module, it will allow you to see if there are any short or open circuits.

Interesting for the low cost. I assume it doesn't do any output tests like Injector balance, applying solenoids, etc. Still not too bad a tool for the DIY folks...

You're right, it cannot do those, but for the money it's a really good scanner if you work on more than one type of car.

I haven't used it on a VW, but this scanner shouldn't have any issues resetting the service lights. As far as low tire light, it can reset it, but if the tire is low it will come back as soon as the car does a check.

Does this have functions like turning off single fuel injectors while the engine is running, opening EVAP solenoids and closing vent solenoids... that sort of stuff? Does it graph crankshaft and camshaft signals? Can it program key chips?

No, this scanner has only 2 bi-directional functions that I showed (brakes and oil reset, I believe). The main attraction here is that you can read every module’s live data, so you should be able to read and graph crankshaft and camshaft so glad as long as it’s reported by the module. It cannot program keys.

It can’t specifically check if the alternator is good or bad, but if the module on it reports live data, you can see it and it’ll tell you if it’s charging or not. Of course, if it has any codes, you’ll see that as well.

Can this clear ABS codes? I’m working with an Acura that has VSA and ABS codes. From what I’ve read it sounds like the NT624 can diagnose them but I’ve heard they’re tricky to clear. Anyone know if it will clear them or should I opt for the more expensive NT644?

This scanner can read and clear codes on all modules on the car, so it should have no issues clearing ABS codes.

If they fully reset them, I don’t think you can see it with this scanner. It can show you shadow codes, but that’s different.

This works on all vehicles sold in US after 1996 since they will all have OBD2 functionality. Basically if the car has OBD2, it will work to some extent. As far as scanning individual modules, it will depend on the car itself and what modules it has.

Are you scanning the ABS module? What does it show under the module/read codes? Make sure you aren't just scanner with regular OBD2 protocol and looking at generic codes.

I haven't used the nt530, but from a quick search it seems to be capable of bi-directional control for many items. The NT624 is limited in that regard as it can only do the 2 items I showed. It cannot do things like injector calibration etc. Of course, this scanner works with pretty much any car unlike the nt530 which is BMW specific.

You are looking for the Fox Assist software. I believe I got it from their product page here: www.foxwelltech.us/product-detail-606.html Once downloaded, you can create an account (no personal info, other than email) and then plug in your device. It will tell you what you need updating etc. I suggest going a few at a time, seems to work much faster that way.

I don't believe you can do that with this scanner. You may need the NT644 that has throttle adaptation special function.

What are you trying to do exactly? You should be able to go to the tpms module and reset it from there if needed as far as I remember.

This is from memory, so I might be a off. Go to diagnostics, scan for VIN and then do a quick scan. Then find a module for TPMS (I think it’s RDC something) and you can clear the codes for it there etc.

Hard to tell without using the device or watching videos about it, but it seems as though it can only read generic OBD2 codes and functions with 4 special service functions. NT624 is able to read individual modules on the car as well as vehicle specific codes (not general OBD2 codes) for those module and see live data for that specific module.

Sorry, I've never worked on diesels, so i don't know details, BUT if it's a modern car, the modules should be basically the same and this scanner can read all modules. So, as long as the ECM is present, it will read it.
