If it's got teeth, you've gotta clean em!!! As a young bloke I used to spend a bit of time in an Acco 3070, with a 903, and a RR, an Acco 2150 with a 555, and a RR, and a Kenny SAR with a 350 Cummins and a RR. The Kenny was the best drive. I spent 2 years in it in the Kimberley's in Western Australia, and only got to the bitumen once!!! Still love the sound of the V8 though. Great stuff mate. Keep going. BTW, A turbo will wake it up a but on the hills, gives you a bit more time between shuffling cogs

Tell us more about your 5th wheel, never seen one like that here in the USA
@dieseldownunder.2 жыл бұрын
They are very common here we still have fixed turntables (5th wheels like you) but this one is called a ball race the trailer would have a block bolted behind the kingpin which stops the trailer turning on the turn table plate and makes the ball race turn instead which is just a big bearing basically, the reason behind it is it improves the handling/turning of the truck, reduces wear on the turn table plate and jaws, and gives a wide foot print at the base giving the trailer better stability, oh and also more suitable for heavy loads! Cheers

if you can't find them, grind them. It's OK they are in a box. If you have teeth, you have to clean them.😃

They are Definitely clean after I’ve been near it that’s for sure, just making sure they are still there😂

Definitely Armstrong Stearing. That's why they came with a 3 foot diameter Stearing Wheal it took both hands 🙌 ✋ 🤣 on one side of the Wheal to pull it around No Joke... That's the way it was before power Stearing...
@dieseldownunder.2 жыл бұрын
Yep would have been hard work, being in a tight spot and not being able to turn full lock without rolling😬 this was factory Armstrong i believe the garrison hydraulic assist was a later addition

Are the gears all reversed in right hand drive countries? Or are the transmissions the same as for right hand drive countries? I've always been curious about that one. Coming from America. Hey you need to check out Zip ties and Bias plies. He's from Canakistan (Canada) them dudes are plumb nutters up there.
@dieseldownunder.2 жыл бұрын
Yes gear boxes are the same so they are the same pattern, it would be an odd feeling shifting with the opposite hand and the same pattern, I have watched a few of his revive and drive vids he’s an interesting bloke that’s for sure
