I've been thinking about leaving my job and doing something like this. I cant imagine the hours on the road, though. Lots of good info in this video. Thank you. That windshield looks hard to see out of when you're driving through the storms. I ceramic coat mine, and even in the pouring rain, I don use the wipers. The water just breaks into small beads and blows off the glass. Much nicer of a drive.

I may be wrong because I don't want to replay the video but he spent at least 50 to $60. I believe in gas so he did that twice. Maybe? 3 times? And then the video shows he went for coffee? Everyone should know that this is exceedingly rare. There are so many people driving expedite cargo vans now that it's much more likely to average 70 cents per mile unless you work directly for a broker. There is no fuel supplement. Progressive insurance keeps raising it's rates. It's easy to spend two or three days trying to win a load unless you take a trash rate. If you are thinking about doing this, don't. I've been doing it for six years and the past two years have been the worst, with drivers taking rates that are completely stupid, but it gets them moved.

Thank you! Yes, I book my own loads majority of the time, but I will use my dispatchers if it’s a slower area. I use GasBuddy to find best prices on fuel. I work every week but sometimes will take breaks on weekends. The dashcam films over old footage but in chance I need a recording I can save it so it doesn’t get written over or I can just transfer SD card into computer. Will try and post more often! It’s a Ford Transit, I used to own a diesel but the gasoline that I own now is much more reliable and parts are much easier to find for gasoline engines. Yeah, I have my wife with me at all times. And yes planet fitness is great, has a lot of locations and most are open 24/7 for work out and showers

Its probably a private load board. I have tried DAT for research purposes and I can say that the only ones making money from it is DAT with their monthly subscriptions just to use the service. I see guys running semi trucks getting less than $2/mile on there all the time. Like most things, probably 3 percent of the users are doing well and another 15 percent are doing ok to not so good, and the rest are just giving their money away and getting no return.
