God bless you Barry. Hope your retirement gives you comfort and joy. Thank you Grant for showing us all a true American who just fell in love with his passion. That is something that is really hard to do these days. Peace and good luck. vf

It's amazing how far we've come in TV equipment. I couldn't imagine trying to watch TV on those small antique screens compared to the modern ones. 😁 Most people would probably consider that stuff to be junk these days unfortunately.

Thanks Jenny, I'm glad Barry has preserved a piece of history for all of us. Your dad is a really nice guy. I'm glad he left you with such fond memories.

The old radios & TV's had such style and they were built to last unlike pretty much everything of today!

The Early Television Museum in Hilliard Ohio would love to have those old TV sets in their museum. No one collects old Howard Sams shop manuals? What ? There is a lucrative bunch of sellers on eBay that would love to get their hands on them to sell to guys like me. I only work on tube phonographs and radios however. Thanks for showing this man's shop and collection. It is superb.

Amazing that he started ripping into tv's in 4th grade and lived to tell about it. Some of those old caps could stop your heart. Thats a cool shop!

Some nice vintage TV's. The 3" Pilot actually sold for $99.50. Still, not as cheap as it sounds now, but it was half the price of the cheapest 7" TV's of the time. Most vintage TV's in collections are from the 1948-1950 period. That's when TV really took off and most people justified spending the money.

Just think of all the history viewed and listened to on those time machines. I remember watching hockey games on my 12" black and white TV in my bedroom thinking how lucky I was. Now I get upset if I'm streaming a movie on my firestick and it buffers.

what a man of rich history, so glad he was there to cherish vintage electronics. its a shame guys like him are few and far between nowadays. yes we live in a age of disposable electronics. nowadays its cheaper to just buy a new tv rather than pay a repairman to fix yours. tv repair is a thing of the past unless you working on your own stuff

If he wants to get rid of any 60's, 70's and 80's radios let me know. I would love to have them and restore them, maybe some of the TV sams from the 70s and 80s too. Thanks Dave!
