Dan Dan the professional flat deck man. Glad you took time off and went on a vacation with Teresa. We all need time away to rejuvenate are energy so we can shake off the last 20,000 miles and start back kind of fresh. Finally the step deck is ready. I know many of us were waiting for the time it shows up. I myself like step better than flat. I know you will really like it. Plus more opportunity to haul many different types of loads. I like steps because a lot of machinery can go on one. Did a lot of RGN, steps, flats in my time. I liked RGN the best. That box will do you good up on the tractor. You might find you are walking less When getting out all your equipment to secure a load. Can hardly wait till you hear that click sound knowing your tractor is now hooked the the step. your world where normal loads you now enjoy will drastically change with that step deck , my company has a mix of trailers i always kept my equip on the tractor so i could drop and hook to what trailer i needed and the step decks arent nearly as versatile when out in the open freight world loading from a dock was the biggest problem

Step decks are more versatile. You can load nearly everything you can onto a stepdeck as you can a skateboard (with levelers). Plus you can haul taller freight without needing permits. Also ramps add a additional dimension.
