Oh my heart! Seeing Eva ride into the scene on the e-bike and the bright smile, such energy and joy. The thought instantly came to mind, if she had safety glasses or goggles her eyes wouldn't water. Then I thought of the broken hearts in the making if she were to have a fall on the trails. PLEASE, all of you consider helmets of some description. I'm not talking full on DOT gear, but some kind of protection. Rocks, mud, branches, critters, one just never knows and all it takes is a split second. I'm a retired firefighter and have heard; "I was just..." far too many times. You are all precious, please protect yourselves. I'm not being judgmental, just sharing my compassion for a loving family.

Mike, you might not be a professional carpenter but you are doing a fine job on that storage shed. One thought, take those long pallets you have and create 'shelves' out of them and stack your tractor attachments in the shed. You can always stack them with 4x4 legs and they will be strong enough. Melissa, keep wishing for the pool.

Another great video! One thing we do with our feeders is cut treated 2x6 squares to set the post on, cheaper than the metal brackets and the post will create a groove in the board with the weight of the feed. We do the same with the base of our ladder stands.

If the shed were mine, I would run a couple of diagonal braces in the purlins on the roof. Plywood sheeting would serve the purpose, but you don't have it. The diagonals will keep the building from twisting in the wind. I would also spray at least the bottom foot or so of the siding with a preservative like BoraCare or copper fungicide to reduce rot and termites.

Hi Mike. I'm sure you know this but at a MINIMUM put the front and back fascia boards on before you get on that roof to install more purloins or the roofing. Without blocking you could roll the whole roof sideways. I'd put one row of blocking between every other rafter down the middle if I was doing the build.

When you go to get the new pup, take Ruger and Piper with you. Put them together in the car and bring them back to the property together, rather than bringing the pup home and introducing them at the house. It has always worked for me. If Piper is the problem make him the favored dog for a while, giving him praise for everything he does. Don't make over the pup too much, that just causes jealously. Good luck!
