What I love about your videos is that they are more than a demonstration of your paintings but the philosophy of your creativity.

John Singer Sargent... simply, I agree. Live sessions would be great, for all of us who follow you for quite a while. Thanks.

I'm usually out at work when folk do livestreams. Anyway, they drive me nuts when people ask the same tedious questions 😅. I just love these Friday videos.🤗

What i like is, you are so relaxed while you are painting and your art is very beautyful! It is inspiration for me. Thanks so much for sharing. ❤

I love just having your presence while I create. Your perfectly balanced "whatever/this is important"-attitude is contagious. And I can immediately also find my balance. I would love it either way in a live. Silence. Talking. Alternating between both. Painting. No painting. You showing some other artist you like and explaining why. Sharing spontaneous thoughts and realizations. I kind of like when things are completely unplanned and whatever happens, happens. But at the same time, you know, maybe nothing can ever be unplanned. Because we are never a blank canvas. And everything that has ever happened or not happened in your life and in the entire history of evolution has prepared us all for this exact moment. So, we are in a way always prepared. And we can't go back in time to change that. That is worth acknowledge, appreciation and honor. And then we should indeed through it to the dogs. However it would be nice to just sail on each other's company and vibe while doing whatever feels right. To perhaps paint or create casually together and pause for reflection when and if the need naturally arises. Just a light and easy coexistence? Love, Mika Lo Wahren

It would be a pleasure to see booth. To see you in a demo and all continue making what you do because is fantastic. Please keep on and teach us to paint streets and home portraits as you do. Love you works.

Ýes to a live stream please. I would love to see a live demonstration and be able to ask about your favourite pigments and know a little more about your lifting techniques and how you decide when to stop painting. I suspect that is common dilemma amongst many of us. Many thanks.

Hi Titus. Love that painting and your description of Sargents approach. YESSSS!! Do a live KZbin. Would be great!! Love the quote from Big Magic! Paradox indeed! I’m so glad you’re enjoying the book. We look forward to you visiting us in our living room every Friday night. It’s very calming after a long week. Thank you for your poetic approach to explaining art. It’s such a refreshing change. 👏👏👍🌷

Really lovely painting. Your studio looks amazing and what a view, soft peaceful. Enjoying your videos. Would be interested in how you approach portraits. Your portraits are wonderful but it would be helpful to learn more about your process.

Wonderful episode! Love the idea for a live stream. While watching you paint is compelling, I’d much rather it be a chat as you describe it. I find your thought process and philosophy fascinating. 😊

After listening to you and seeing the book with Sargent’s watercolor, I went over to my bookshelf and found a book I have with his art and sure enough there was a color reproduction (full page) and another page showing details. I would not have noticed the brilliance of the work titled “Corfu:Lights and Shadows”, had you not mentioned it. If you need an idea for a “live” maybe sharing more art that inspires you. Because when you do that, we all can learn from the highlights you point out. Thank you!

Thanks for doing what you do. I look forward to videos each Friday. I was fortunate to see many of Sargent’s works at the Chicago Museum of Art a few years ago. The “easy breezy” style of his watercolors amazes me and I love the summer house (yours and his 😊). A live video is a great idea.

I love your thoughtfulness and rationale about composition. For example: what to leave out, what to keep, what to highlight and why you conclude with what you end up with. Thank you!!!

I love pencil marks that show through the paint. They show how careful the artist worked and that he gave it much thought. He found them part of the painting as well as the color because they were part of the process. It's part of the caligrapghy, the character.

I loved this week’s painting! It’s just beautiful - colorful, happy. I think live sessions would be nice. I am intrigued by all the different brushes you use. That funky two-lengths- of-bristles brush is interesting and I think you use it only for shrubbery.

Live sessions would be great! Chatting with you and I'd love to see you do something out of your comfort zone. If this would be an example of stepping outside your comfort zone, how about abstracts using your favorite personal pigments? It's a great way to play with color...in my opinion. 😀🌷

As a watercolour painter myself, I also love Sargent's work. He was a master of painting reflected light, as demonstrated in the examples you showed in your video. As I tell my students, shadows aren't just grey! I enjoy your films Titus.

Saying is so true from the book. Very nice. Makes so much sense. We really learn by examples, we plant not just enough seeds but so much more to make sure. Have a great weekend. Going live is a nice idea. I enjoy certain themes, maybe not newer wc themes but that is something better left to your thinking. Layering is a technique individualized to everyone. Likewise negative painting. I was thinking of your house and how some light branches could be surrounded with the darker green and different greens. It all sounds just fine. 😊

Indeed, it is when you become more comfortable with painting that the act of painting itself becomes the most important part. Brushes, colors, final results ...., everything else matters very little, or it doesn't matter at all.
