77 Convert TO Mach3 *FROM* NC Studio CNC router

Wonderful! Helped greatly. Not sure if you have another video on this but please note, it is paramount that those with older computers with Par port, ensure that it is enabled, and select EEP Mode. Then it works like a snap. Thanks for taking your time to help us users in the fog. And Ditto on the NC Studio card... it is really a product that has 0 support, Chinese translated to English via google. For those that feel that it is OK for a beginner, way off base. One of the most complex configurations I have endured do to, lack of users, lack of support and lack of card functionality in relation to pins to properly setup even the most basic of 3A CNC's.

I just finished my hack on a laguna IQ HCC dumped the HCC and went to the 4 Axis USB Card Mach3 200KHz Breakout Board from automation. for my spindle speed i used the rs485 and the vfdPlugin-1.7.1.. the nice thing is everything now runs smooth as silk with in mach3 hope this helps by the way i really like your videos keep up the great work

I just purchased a Chinese 1325 CNC and new to all of this. I asked for mach 3, but was told it had NC studio on it after it was paid for and shipped. I received the machine, which looks great, but cannot get their NC studio software to download, thus why I am looking at mach 3 videos. I am glad to have run across this video here. The sales person is working with me to get NC downloaded to me, but I am feeling I will be making this change from NC to mach 3 sooner than later. Any advice from out there will be appreciated and welcome.

Hello Roger Your machine looks very similar to mine. Could possibly be from the same factory. Congratulations, you have done exactly the same mod as have I. NC Studio came with my machine despite my specific request for Mach 3. I very quickly understood the failings of NC Studio and without haste I converted to Mach 3. Since I was in procession of a breakout board anyway the procedure wasn't to painful. Greasing or even oiling the various bearings is just a pain in the bum but I like the idea of rotating the leadscrew nut 180 degrees making it easier to get at from the back..

nigel davies The 6090 (bed size) CNC router machine is from Salecnc China, (speak to Jimmy good English), I had the machine up rated to 8 inch / 200mm gantry and 2200w / 3hp spindle (router motor) + I had the 4th axis. Total cost including shipping and TAX, USD$ 7000, I would also recommend you purchasing ArtCam Express software approximately 200 USD, as the CNC router machine is supplied with ArtCam Jewel-smith from Salecnc China, but with NO 3D reliefs. ArtCam Express comes with over 600 3D reliefs. Understand that there are years of learning and experimentation by me that are not in the videos and projects to enable me to carry out and achieve what you see in my videos. Hope all this helps. Hello Roger: I have been following you for a while. Great projects and help for a newbie. Thank you. I have just moved to China--working at Shanghai American School and setting up a comprehensive MakerSpace. I have just discovered the very many CNC manufacturers in Jinan. So instead of importing a Shop Bot CNC router, I would like to purchase a domestic model here in China. The machines are all very similar, using the same OEM components and assembled by many shops in Jinan. Do you have any recommendations for a Chinese manufacturer of a 1500*2500 mm CNC router. I never thought I could afford such a machine compared but now I am looking at a vacuum table, ATC, and maybe even a fourth axis.

Hello Roger Great video I have been using NCstudio for about 6 months or so its a shame its so trouble some its easy to use but has its limits and problems. The PC I was running NCstudio just died on me. I purchased a breakboard and USD control some months back with Mach3 and was unsure how to change the board acrossed until I seen your video and had to subscribe. Great video I was hoping you had a follow up on thechange from NCstudio to Mach3. Any advice you can give before I get stuck in would be great Thanks

There is a VFD fitted and myself and some more electronically minded mates cant figure it out. Been hanging for a follow up video but cant find it if you have made one.HELP PLEASE

I'm pretty sure you don't have to download anything special. When you are on the main screen press "tab" on your keyboard and the menu you are talking about will pop up. Hope it helps!

Roger I just bought a Chinese Nice Cut 60/90 cnc router on craigs list, I went through the machine the linear bearings were sloppy loose they were missing over 50 ball bearings between the 4 bearings which I replaced. It has NC studio which I am converting to Mach 3. I bought a RioRand®4 Axis USB Interface Breakout Board Adapter CNC MACH3 For Stepper Motor Driver [ASIN: B00N1Q5BPY] It looks Like the board you installed in your machine. It requires a 15vdc - 35vdc input voltage. My cmc router has a 70 - 90 vdc output. Did you have to add a power supply for your break out board or make some type of adjustment? ncstudio is more stable than mach3. mach - is only for hobby.

Agreed. But hopefully, you sure get the original Ncstudio, there is a lot of copy card. I'm the sales technical engineer from WEIHONG who create the Ncstdio controller.

Mach3 sucks balls as well - if you really wanna run something with speed and stability go for LinuxCNC a standard setup is basicly point and click with the stepper motors. We have hopes for Mach4 - but 3 is such a bad bloated software. :/
