Why did you change out the control? Preference? Have you had issues with the Syntec control from Quick CNC?
@ontwerpopmaatpuntcom2 жыл бұрын
Hello! I never used syntec. It is a good controller from what I have heard. But no service or good English manual. With eding cnc I can do everything myself.

Hi After looking at your setup on your cnc machine it seems you have a lot of experience What I would like some information on is the vacuum holding of panels. 1. how many vacuum pumps are you running per machine and size? 2.What thickness of sacrifice panel are you using and is it mdf? 3.What i have found with the mdf sacrifice panel that I am using that it tends to bow after long period of vacuum holding I am not sure if it is the quality of panels that is locally manufactured in my country. Hopefully you can give me some advice.

Hello! Quite busy at the moment but I will give you an reaction tomorrow. I have experimented quite a lot with spoilboard and ony use 3mm mdf panels for years without planing or anything. Just throw them on and discard them when done after abrout 20 to 60 sheets/jobs. I've learned that the vacuum is better and small parts are better fixed. Not quite sure why but also people working for me confirmed this when after years of 3mm mdf testing 18mm mdf for the fun of it. More info tomorrow

1. "For the 2030 model we have 2 beckers of 4kw (150m3/hour) for the new 2040 model we have 2 tongyou pumps of 5.5kw (250m3/hour)." (answer from Guus on another post) 2. The MDF panels are 3mm low density thin panels and these are the porous panels without the smooth (HDF) finish so these allow more air to pass through than the regular panels used for furniture. 3. Bowing of the panels is most likely due to humidity. The 3mm panels are low density and very flexible, especially when using a full 250x125 sheet, so bowing is not as much of an issue.
@ontwerpopmaatpuntcom2 жыл бұрын
@@Rob_65 hello rob! Good answer. 2 small details: we do use high density mdf (or hdf as you can call it). It works fine for us. The sheets are 1220x3050x3mm so we have only one seam on a working area of 2100×3050. We just tape them together on both sides with painters tape (dutch term for it). We use a lot of sheets that are 1220mm wide so we replace the left spoilboard sheet quite often and the right one lasts months. I agree that cupping of the sheets comes from moisture that settles on the top of the mdf. The 3mm is thin enough to prevent this like you said.

Hello! What cam do you use? We use vectric v carve pro to draw the parts and write the g code. We use eding cnc as a controller on the machine. We made a custom processor for this but it is easy to do when you are a enthusiastic engineer.

Hello , great videos and thanks for the info. This would be my first time buying a cnc for my cabinet business, should I take the risk and purchase a $10,000 cnc router from China or buy one locally that cost 3 times the price ? There are a few local guys in here that purchase the machines from China and re wire them and sell them for double of the price so that got me scared maybe their wiring it’s not so good.
@ontwerpopmaatpuntcom Жыл бұрын
Hello geri! I just read your replay, sorry. Wiring on my machine is really nice. We just redirect the controller so that we can use a dutch controller (,eding cnc) that is really user friendly and familiar for us. From china they almost always use syntec. A great controller from what I have heard but not familiar or my personel. China is great but do not ecspect great afterservice. It is not included in the price you pay

Why not? try purchase from China,If you're worried, you can fly to China to see the factory before you place the order. 💛

Hi I bought a CNC router from a company called IEHK, it came with no installation or wiring instructions. the one I bought runs off 380V 3 phase did you have issues getting an electrician to wire your up?
@ontwerpopmaatpuntcom Жыл бұрын

@@ontwerpopmaatpuntcom the machine I bought is 3 phase and 380V is not a standard voltage in the US. I'm going to have to get a power supply to manage the current and was wondering if you had to do the same and any suggestions what works or not

@@davidlabrecque4854 400v 3 phase is standard in Europe. That means 240 volt between a phase and earth. I do not know about phase converters. We do not need them

@ontwerpopmaatpuntcom2 жыл бұрын
We use eding cnc so we installed a controller that we are familiar with. Biggest problem is user error and inexperienced operator. The machines are fine (from a lot of suppliers). Getting to know the machine is the hardest job. I am a operator for 10 years now and still learn every day
@ontwerpopmaatpuntcom2 жыл бұрын
Iff you have zero experience with electrics I am not sure it is an good idea. I had machines from 4k to 40 k (euro) and have sold a lot of them to friend's etc. They still all work. Also the crappy build ones. Just don't expect to pay 1/5 of the price and expect a 10 out of 10 aftersales. People hire us for our great quality cnc work. We only use Chinese machines. Even other local cnc companies hire us for the work they find to difficult. It is not about the machine but about the time you spend learning the software and possibilities of the machine

Hi, if you don t mind, I would like to ask you some questions regarding shipping and import costs since I am from Europe too and I am about to order from them. How did you arrange shipping? What kind of import costs did you have to pay? Did you go with local agency, that managed all your documentation? If I want to go with my local agency, what should I say to them? I have never imported anything big from China, so any answer would be much appreciated.
@ontwerpopmaatpuntcom Жыл бұрын
I always buy FOB. That means that the chinese producer puts the machine on the ship and that your local shipping agency does the rest. It is really easy: call a few shipping agents and tell them the size, weight and Harbour of departure and they can give you the price. The shipping agent does everything for you. Shipping prices are going down.
@ontwerpopmaatpuntcom Жыл бұрын
To give you a update: one year ago I paid 7200euro for a shipping container. This month only 1650 euro. Chinese production is low at the moment so ships are sailing for cheap
