I’ll say this to Julius. He mentioned letting down others that look up to him as motivation for not pushing through. Scrap that, seeing you manage to lift 790 pounds raw is incredible itself and it shows us that not everyone will succeed a lift and that’ll bring with time, dedication, and strength to build up that energy and strength to hit a new PR or whatever ones goal is. It’s shows us that not everyone is perfect and it’s not a straight incline through your life. Props to you getting up there and attacking it, you’re made for great things and those great things will come. You did great

@@MrJtin69 Wrist support is perfectly legal in Raw lifting and has been in every federation since they were introduced. They add 0 pounds to the lift, they just keep you from destroying your wrists under a heavy load.

So the issue with 735 was that the guy on the left helped with lift off and the guy in the right didn't. So to avoid an imbalance they decided for only Larry to lift off for 790. The only problem was that it made the lift off slower. They should have had Larry and both guys on the side lift off in cue. Because of the slow down and time under tension Julius flared out too quick trying to utilize his energy before it was used up. Other than that every other cylinder was firing off. You got 800 big dawg!

So happy to see larry powerlifting again. That was his specialty and his gift. Larry is gifted at lifting very heavy weight. Julius was a well of wisdom. Call the extra wrapping whatever Gizmo the Larry's coach have some that s*** don't do nothing but help you to live more weight that's not your true strength it's just like if you always wearing a brace and your muscles are not doing his own work now it may be a time for a breaks and an injury but when you're working out you don't want all that extra support I remember one time I squatted with the great you all call Eddie Coan I know when he was a teenager and he wrapped my legs one day cuz I didn't use wraps and I can squat 445 for reps that much until I really went heavy usually after 3:15 at a body weight of 185 190 and I didn't wrap my legs correctly according to Ed Coan so he wrapped my legs for me and before I got up to the bar my feet were no that's probably was an extra 40 or 50 lb just from the spring or the raps which is not true power in my opinion and I wasI drug free too I don't forget to mention that cuz I lift with the best of them and never took nothin illegal or any type of PEDS SARMs or steroids whatever just like all you other guys are and some of y'all try to hide it I love the game I'm working out being in shape having muscles and being strong so I still very interested in it but not the cost of risk of my life or my health with so many of you guys are doing and I hope you all take this in consideration before something bad happens with a super bad injury or so healthy issues just because you wanted to eagle trip and say you were strong facts and I hating just trying to give you a pre warning like now Larry Wheels always tan is and doing that that s*** ain't going to heal and when you get older even with all the steroids and everything else that you get you might be able to come out unscathed if you don't keep on continue to do with the body like that but the outside against them but you could be the exception but not the rule

I really love Julias's attitude and its really amazing to hear that even the best bench presser in history still has doubts, still doubts whether it is all worth it, still feels the pressure. He seems like a very intelligent introspective guy which is probably how he's got to where he is now in his life from where he was. Very motivating and inspiring. And not hating on Larry but even that last hand off was shit 😂 but hey what can you expect the second time ever handing off almost 800 lbs. No doubt Julius can do it. Game day 800 is going up!

Absolutely insane balls to come out to someone else's gym, having someone you don't know spot you, on a bench you do not train on and shoot right to a world record the first time, after traveling. The lift off was slow and a bit wobbly, on a world record that's all it takes to miss.

Damn that was scary when the weight went towards his face. With those weights you want to bring your own spotters because i've seen way too many times that the spotters absolutely fucked up.

Crazy thing is Julius is in treacherous unknown territory, it is possible that this is impossible even in perfect conditions, that is what makes this so damn exciting. His strength is unheard of, if anyone can do it it is him.

When Julius was talking about how the small normally insignificant things can throw him off that he tries to correct before the lift such as non straight bench or uneven floor.....that's actually a sermon for success in life! What little things that can change or "injure" our entire lives just because we overlook them because they are small.

@@osenglish It does but it depends on your leverages. Also closer grip activates more tricep and shoulder which when built just overall increases bench press. I broke out of my plateu by going wider. So it depends

A narrower to medium grip with engaged lats is what the big boys are using.
