Julius is a great dude, but he already accomplished so much, so my heart doesn’t ache for him that bad. I probably want to see Ivan Makarov pull 500 whatever the most, the dude looks like he is dead after every set, he overtrains all the time and he has already had 2 failed world record attempts. I just want him to pull it and be done with it (it hopefully being lifting in general), but realistically he has a poor chance of getting that lift with such a reckless approach to training.

@Iaoj He plans to cut weight once he hits 800 and tbh it needs to happen. Between using PEDs and being this fat and heavy he can't maintain this state for long. However I don't think this reason would compell him they are plenty of people who are willing to die for a number. Eddie Hall was willing to die for his 500kg deadlift and WSM title. If I was genetically capable of what Julius is I would also take my chances with death.
@gravemind65363 жыл бұрын
@Iaoj It doesn't make sense and its not fair but its genetics. Some people can be healthy as fuck with poor genetics and drop dead at 50 whilst guys with great genetics can treat their body like shit and live to 80. I went to school with a mate who's Mum died when he was 10 I felt so sorry for the poor dude she was the healiest person in the village and died at 41 in fact I never stopped feeling sorry for the guy. I have decent genetics for living long and durability but not to extreme extent that you mentioned with the 450kg dude of course. I think Julius could easily live a long life at 350-400lbs. Don't let his build decieve you he is quite tall Larry Wheels is 6ft 1 Julius is probably 6ft 3 or 6ft 4. As for how much your willing to sacrifice thats individual lifting is Julius Maddoxs entire life he has insane dedication to it. Before this Julius was a class A drug addict and now he is addicted to this instead he clearly has an addictive personality and this is better than the alternative were it not for lifting he would probably already be dead just for perspective so in a way this mission already saved his life. Whilst there is no real prize money the actual money comes from fame and sponsorships. All bodybuilders, powerlifters and strongmen would be bankrupt if they depended on prize the money covers the cost of prep thats it.

You're not letting anyone down. Going for big lifts, this is just part of the game. If you hit every lift, if there was no adversity, it wouldn't be nearly as motivating. Getting back up on that horse after it kicks you in the teeth is what matters. The harder the struggle, the more glorious the triumph. By the way, I think the strength is definitely there. Very powerful off the chest, but I think you just got a bit thrown off. Maybe you were just in you head a bit beforehand. Regardless, have you given any thought to modifying a mono or something to make your hand-offs more consistent? Your attempts represent a significant % of most lifters deadlift 1RM, so maybe to take some of the inconsistency out you should look into some time of mono-like setup so you are already in a good position at the start. Just pick it up off the pins, pins get out of the way and press. Just throwing that out there since I haven't seen anything really like that. I guess it's because very few people would actually need it.
