Can you provide the positions of the V-Tail ruddervator for the stabilized flight mode. Also in stabilized mode , what is the position of the left and right V-Tail when we do a right yaw.....thank you in advance

Hey 7d7 thanks for the video post. I have had my MT for about 6 months and it is an FPV favorite. This thing is fast and very efficient. If you don't love yours, I'll buy it!

Nice video and good tips. I like those horns and clamps for the servo wire.

They are my favorite- my only horn failures were with single sided horns pulling out of the foam!

Looking good Sir :-) Fingers crossed, I'll be taking mine out for its maiden next weekend!
@7demo7review8 жыл бұрын
Ha! I beat you to the maiden, it's uploading now, lol! However, your build will certainly be better than mine. I still have to install the 360 pan servo and somehow attach both cameras. Maybe I'll use just the run cam like you are doing....

can you quickly dismatle the wings for transport or are they "bound" to the fuselage?
@WinstonSmith19848 жыл бұрын
The pan servo you listed is continuous rotation. I'm not so sure if that's a good idea. Wouldn't a GWS S125 servo be better? At least that can center with the camera facing forward.

What's "goop", which glue did you use to glue the fuselage together & the horns you used in the wings & v tails, links please? Thanks

Hi! I´m building my mini Talon at the moment, and plan using the arkbird autopilot. Does this work with two ailerons and the v-tail? Would be great if you could help me with that, before everything is put together. Thank you, I´m loving your vids, really great rc stuff!
@7demo7review8 жыл бұрын
Yes, just select the vtail option in the menu. You will need to plug one vtail servo into the elevator output and one servo into the rudder output. Ailerons will be on a "y" Connector
@traced828 жыл бұрын
Wow, so simple!? :-) Thanks for that quick reply!

Maiden flight was a huge success! Easy to fly - landing was long but uneventful. Flew for about 10 min using 4s 5200, had 80% left in the battery. I'll be editing the footage soon- I left my sd cards at my studio- so no editing today😕

You need to do some little cut outs so the servo arms dont press against the foam of the wings and V-tail.
@7demo7review8 жыл бұрын
Will do- I noticed that
@drewhodge38208 жыл бұрын
I used digital servos on my talon and as soon as they hit the foam the make that horrible noise. You will love the mini Talon once you learn its quirky ways. It glides like a dream but it hates to slow down for a landing so make sure you give it plenty of room. At least double the normal length of landing strip. I would say it stalls around 20 miles an hour so you can expect some hot landings. Also consider re-enforcing the underside and the leading edges of the wings with tape etc. Otherwise they will take a beating on those fast landings. Happy flying and keep up the great work on your videos.
@7demo7review8 жыл бұрын
What happens on landing if you do a slow flare? Will it tipstall?
@drewhodge38208 жыл бұрын
The Mini Talon is a very stable platform but it wants to glide forever especially when its low to the ground. It shouldn't tipstall. The issue is that the talon is such a good airframe and it just wants to glide even when you power off the motor. With the deep wings its like landing a glider with a 2.5 meter wingspan. Just allow plenty of room to land it the first few times.
