Everything in Its Place varies across sets and not saying it needs to be perfect on a cheap set, but that track presents a specific experience that needs to come through as good as other sets at the price point.

The last part was really helpful, because i was acutally looking for IEMs that feel more like "in my head" instead of stage. It's super hard to describe it with words. When the music feels like it's in my head (maybe even originating from the center), it will stop my brain from thinking and i can fully focus on the music instead.
@PaulWasabii8 ай бұрын
You can probably EQ other sets with less upper treble and have them go inwards. You are a step ahead of most people if you can hear both
@viice_8 ай бұрын
@@PaulWasabii I did EQ my M50x to get this effect. It's super easy to hear both, but that's only because i have brain damage. That changed my hearing. It's great for music, but horrible in public, when there're more than 3 voices around me. I was able to tune the M50x to a point where i hear the vocals in the center of my head and the rest sounds like stage from the outside. Blessless from Tielle works perfectly as an example for that.

Is this a good option for hiphop(I also soemimes listen to pop,rock and so i meed vocal clartiy). I had commented in your reciew of cca raphsody that i needed a iem somewhere around 20-40 dollars for hiphop and gaming. You had recomended 7hz slanotez zero for gaming and a 50 dollar delfine for hiphop but i can onlt buy one and 50 dollars was a bit too much... Do you think since this is a bass and mid boosted 7hz salnote it eill be good for both gaming and hiphop... I also had comcerns regarding the fit of this model and male vocals. Id appreciate it kf you are able to reply to my queries, thank you.
@PaulWasabii6 ай бұрын
yeah its fine. Here is the issue, more bass doesn't help spatial cues in gaming so that is why the original 7hz Zero is more popular. But that set isn't good for hip hop. Zero 2 will do both with that caveat, more bass isn't more better.
@moonsofjupiter Жыл бұрын
Great review and I really enjoy your style. In depth yet digestible. Paul, besides the Legato (which improves a lot and becomes a full spectrum beast when you use a pure quality silver cable and open bore JVC spiral dot tips to bring out the highs and air), which basshead set delivers great stage? I also enjoy the Rinko, while not a huge stage, one of the most holographic and unique sets I’ve heard, with that DD/mini planar combo. Have you had a chance to try the Symphonium Meteors? Excellent warm and smooth set. Does everything well, including stage.
@PaulWasabii Жыл бұрын
Haven't tried the meteors but I like the newer planars Hidizs MP145 and Kiwi Melody. Not basshead, but that warm, bassy sound. I'd rather EQ a planar than try to find a DD that can do the same amount of bass. The XSL X-One with the Dark Magician driver and a couple different tunings is up there though. I am not a huge basshead though, more of a stage snob. I like planars and I like to hear everything so even with MP145 and Melody, use tips that don't emphasize bass so I enjoy what planars can do. But they have quite a bit of bass without EQ.

I was excited for the zero 2 but after seeing the graphs I decided not to get it since its pretty much tuned the same with other sets that have been here for months now. I just opted to get the castor silver edition for $10 to accompany my og 7hz zero.

@PaulWasabii5 ай бұрын
You can go either way, Castor Bass is more V shaped in that there is more bass and more treble. Zero 2 is perhaps less energetic but still fun. Some people get fatigued with more treble so Zero 2 works. Some people just want more bass as their music is less treble intense so doesn't matter.

The original Zero, with less bass, has a strong personality. I have one. This new version with improved bass maybe better for a basshead like me, but put the Zero in the same scenario of dozens of others. Isn't, Paul?
@PaulWasabii Жыл бұрын
Yeah I said something similar. The original stood out more, maybe like Chu, but there weren't a large pack of sets that were similar at time. Zero:2 is right in the middle of the pack with the changes as described by Crinacle. At this price point and 1DD drivers, it is real hard to stand out.

Hello Pau, I need you to answer quickly before Cyber Day ends. I commented on another post asking whether the Cadenza or the 02 would be better for me, and you suggested going for the more economical option. Now, I want to know if it's worth considering the Tin Hi-Fi T2 DLC, which is slightly more expensive but within my budget. I don't use a DAC, so I want to know if it would work well without one and if the extra expense is justified without using a DAC. Or do you recommend sticking with the 02? There's less than an hour left, so I hope you can respond quickly to help me make a decision. Thanks, Pau.
