@@dududu5189 It's absurd that the Moqi is still the only good option. It has the right size and quality, but too hard to get and too expensive. There should have been numerous variants by now. Definitely a $200 version that could run everything up to N64/DS fine should exist.

Like you don't really "need" any of your games and accounts etc. When you consider luxury toys like gaming PCs; surely you also must realise that the prices are going up up up... ... But the level of performance does not match the huge price hike, not even close. I personally use touchscreens all the time, I have several of my own at home too :) Trust me when you fit the use case they are so useful.

Zero potential, from the get-go. Devices like these are sourced with the cheapest development and cheapest parts possible. They're made to market, not enjoy. There are Chinese companies doing good work like Anbernic and GPD, but this is crap is just made to make a CEO happy he has a handheld for sale. It was made because someone wanted to sell a handheld, not make their vision of one.

I loved the x-15 because with drastic it was actually one of the few devices that was well designed for ds emulation with a mic and touch screen... but my god the lack of google store support and having to hunt down cracked apps and get them working really ruined it for it.if they made a version like the x-15 but with a better directional pad and 2 analog sticks, and google store support, it would be a great little handheld.

And it's again the ATJ2279B, I knew it just from seeing the software, especially the settings menu. Well this one is not going to provide much power as it's a MIPS at 400 MHz or so with only 2D acceleration. Software could be improved though but unfortunately it's not open source. I was thinking of reverse engineering it but not sure I'll have the time and mood to do it.

Dont waste your money Johnno. At least with the X2 (and my RS18) you can change system icons and add boxart to your own builds. I did. (Although can be time consuming). This one has the crap UI and sub par performance. If you want another cheaper 7" you are better off with the revision 2 of your X2. At least that one has better joysticks, dpad and type C connector. Still no L2 and R2 though unfortunately.

Your best bet is the rg351 won't come with any installed. But you can install a 500 emulator and games yourself or there are sellers on eBay who sell SD cards absolutely loaded with all different kinds of emulators.

My rg351p came with amiga games installed. They tend to dump them all on one amiga folder but it will run cd32 and other variations as there are 3 different emulators curated by emuelec and retroarch

I'm going to get one of the 7 inch screen emulator handhelds soon. I've seen your channel do the most reviews of the various ones. Which one would you recommend? I would like it to allow SD cards and possibly adding games myself. I'm also not going to spend more than 50 dollars on it. I recently got one of the Gameboy style ones and the slightly bigger one with direction pad on one side and buttons on the other side. They both play NES roms mostly and they are stuck with what comes on them. Not complaining because the bigger one has almost a thousand games and I paid 3 dollars for it from Temu lol

had been curious about these devices for a few weeks abd was about to drop some cash on one . Then i heard that you can emulate PS1 on your phone. I just installed the PS1 emulator on my Samsung Galaxy A01, THis phone cost less than $60 dollars out the door. It is a cheep little Straight Talk phone. JUST two minutes ago got done downloading the N64 Emulator and the 5.9MB Mario 64 rom. It runs it just as smooth as snot. can someone explain why these systems cost so much and dont have half the functionality of my cheep straight talk phone. Just as an experiment please try the phone you have and tell me if it runs ok or not? mine runs Mario64 on an emulator pretty well and the the PS1 game called teken i think as smooth as it was in a playstation original. Straight Talk version of Samsung A01

Because touchscreen will never compete with physical gaming controller. These retro games are designed with these controllers in mind of developer. Emulation is great and all but you will get bored by doing this on a touchscreen. Of course you can purchase a attachable game controller to your phone. But a regular gamer can easily get ticked off by its latency even on an old game because Bluetooth face latency issue all the time if it’s not a pre designed feature of the device

Touch screen on this is of no real use at all really. Same crap UI and performance. At least the Coolbaby RS18 and Powkiddy X2 have the newer UI where you can add boxart and change system icons.. but can be time consuming. Its a step in the right direction. But this one, no way. Skip it.
