7Jurock Windshield Revisited

I ordered and installed one on your recommendation for my K1600B. I am only 5'-6" tall so I got the 17". I should have went with the 19". I have a short inseam even for my height(about 29") so a little taller torso and I bought a Corbin seat as well. I do really like the windscreen but I have to bring it up about half way to get to the sweet spot. Love your videos.

Thanks Commander REVZ for both reviews. I got my 2021 K1600B in March of 2021 and when I picked it up the dealer (in Richfield) swapped on a 17" version of this shield because like you I'm 6'1" to 6'2" and the burble drives me nuts. Much better than the stock, but I still think I'm going to need to replace it with a taller version as I need to duck a couple of inches from my standard riding position to get into the "quiet bubble". Cheers!

Great video. 7Jurock makes solid windshields. I am running into a small issue with my windscreen. I have a 7Jurock 19 inch design A windscreen on my 2012 K1600 GTL. Windscreen is amazing. All I have to do is raise it about 1 inch just like you and the wind goes completely over my helmet and I can still see over the windscreen. The problem occurs when I ride 2up. Even with the windscreen raised all the way up my wife, which is 5‘8“ is getting blasted with wind. The wind starts around her nose area and continues upward. What size screen would you recommend? I heard mixed reviews on Clock Werks 20” and 23”. would like to stick with 7Jurock. Is there a way to order a bigger flare on top?

I have a K1600 B also but purchased a VStream from National Cycle. Works excellent!! Made from polycarbonate not acrylic which will shrapnel upon impact.

Hello sir from South Africa 🇿🇦. a quick question please 🙏. Is this the A or B screen ? I want to order one, but they have 2 types on their website. Not sure which one you have. Also can you give any information about the Visor Vent? if you order with the Visor Vent, do we have to cut out the opening or is it pre-cut? thank you sir for any advise . safe riding bud.

Sorry took so long to respond. Probably too late for my advice helping as spring is almost here, but just put a lead directly off the battery and put a tender on it. You cannot go through the mini cig lighter ports; they are powered off the CAN bus. They make tenders that can do this, but they're expensive and not the best option.

After you have time for a break-in do a vlog on your new seat. I was going to go with the Corbin for my Grand America but they lost me on the seat heat connector. I went with a Sargent seat. I should receive it next week.

@@COMMANDERREVZ Update on my Sargent seat. Two days before it arrived I ran off the road, January 13th to be exact, and totaled my 2020 BMW K1600 Grand America. I tried to hang on best I could but the ground was so uneven the bike's front tire caught a deep pocket and rolled bottom over top a couple of times. I went flying up and rolled. I had on full gear but still broke my left ankle (fibula). Ten more days with the cast and then a walking boot followed by physical therapy. I tell others I was glad I didn't hit any immovable objects. I don't expect I'll be able to ride until April. The new seat is still in the box. I couldn't bring myself to even open it. I have the new bike in the garage. These are HARD to find. Only two within 500 miles of me. A low mileage gently used 2020 in Portland and a new 2021 in Escondido. I chose to drive to Southern Cal to pick up the new one and trailer it home. Same model and color, but a year newer. God bless.

Hi Commander Revz, many thanks for sharing your personal experiences! I have a question I hope you can help me with... I currently have the Cruise Screen from Wunderlich (in black), makes the bike look wicked but not much protection and lots of dirty air at highway speeds leading to headaches on longer rides :-(.. . I'm looking to buy this 7Jurock screen, I'm 6,1" and was wondering which size you'd recommend me. The 19" or the 21" from this video??? (i've got the stock seat)... Thanks! Maarten

Ya, I bet that black low screen looks awesome, but yep, totally ineffective. If you stick with the stock seat, for your height, I think you would be most happy with the 20" or 21".

I like the look of the 7 better. I'm sure Aeroflow is awesome as well, but 7 had incredible (in person) customer support and will make for you what ever you're looking for. Just a choice, they're both good products.

Very curious what the effects of aftermarket shields have concerning high speed stability. Maybe not so important for the Bagger but could be very important on the GT/L models.

Great question. The bagger actually begs you to ride it like a sport bike, so yes, the bagger is included in this issue. Most every K1600 owner replaces the stock windshield. The aftermarket products are usually better for wind protection (especially the B) and most do not degrade the high speed stability; some even improve it.

@@COMMANDERREVZ My GTL is a bit unnerving above about 110 to 120, and even then I'm not over confident. I'd be curious about any product proven to increase the high speed stability.

I would say the same for the B around 120 or more. I don't think there are any windshields that will improve high speed instability, just that most shouldn't degrade it either. These Ks push a LOT of air at those speeds, the front end starts to become unweighted, so it's to be expected.

What seat did you order? I’m 6’ so the seat / windshield combo balance is essential as I learned on my HD RGS.

You are correct. The seat windshield choice should be made with each in mind. I went with the Corbin smuggler and am happy with that combo. Seat is about an inch taller and much firmer. I think I have it dialed in being 6'1."

@@californiahikebike Yes, my screen is 22." On 7Jurock's website, I believe they only go up to 19" for ordering online, but call and talk to them, they will do whatever you want.

Content begins at 1:40 This is no way to grow a channel on KZbin. Most views become "sticky" if the first 10 seconds connects with that viewer. The title is the invitation and some delivery on that title is needed quickly, not well past the :30 mark. Pushing a brand too early just pushes viewers away to someone who better understands this market. Also, the poor audio segment should have been replaced. Wishing you success going forwards.

I think I would prefer a company that does the research for me. “Do you want a little more flip?” How should I know, is it practical to send me 10 different windshields so I can do your research for you? That just me though, I don’t even like ordering sandwiches at SubWay. I’m not a chef, just make me a sandwich that will wow me.

The flip is a factor if you ride double up. I ride single almost exclusively, but thought the extra flip could only help, and it looks good. The customer service is awesome at 7Jurock. You don't see that much anymore these days.
