If you want to improve as a footballer, you’ll definitely need to train with a ball. To get boots or footballs when I was younger, I would work weekends delivering newspapers and save up the money to buy them.

I think if you’re truly loving what you do, it’s hard for it to become monotonous, as long as there is always something to learn. If training/daily routines are becoming stale, it could be a sign that you are not doing things that challenge you, or that you care as much about as you perhaps used to.
