Man, the Supernova seems to be a real winner. I mean it managed to appeal that much to you and Mark from SuperReview, despite some quite significant taste differences. And the graph does look very nice. I could only wish they were at least somewhat more affordable.

I have the 7th Acoustic Supernova and it's absolutely awesome, probably one of, if not the, best IEM I've heard at ANY price point, from Subtonic Storm to FF G. Maestro (which to be fair, I don't love their tunings). I used to think I didn't like neutral sounding IEMs until I got used to these, beautifully tuned and natural sounding IEM. Great technicalites (not top tier but good enough not to bother me) and comfort too! I admit, it's a pricy and risky blind buy since it's basically impossible to audition if you don't happen to know someone who owns one, but it's probably the IEM I love the most in my collection. Hope they do a Hybrid DD set in future!

Can you check out the Whizzer HE10 in the future? It's pretty new and done for their 6th anniversary. Whizzer's designs have always appealed to me and this one makes me want to get it immediately. I hope it's as good as or ideally even better than their HE01 that came out in 2021 if I remember correctly.

​@@rlaiola To compare the two products, if you look at the shape of the ear nozzle plate, Performer5 is sharp, Supernova is rounded, and there seems to be a difference in nozzle shape between Performer5 and Supernova.

@chkid if this nozzle feature impacts isolation/sealing I agree with you that might be a problem. Both look kinda similar from a magnitude response perspective. I’d be interested to know whether there is a big audible difference between them.

@@rlaiola I haven't heard of it, but based on the graph, I think it'll be quite similar. In HBB's graph, there is a difference in the dip near 11K, but considering the budget, Performer 5 would be better.

I wouldn't mind seeing a breakdown of the sub-50's again, this time with a 'is it worth the 5-10$ upgrade.. etc. Maybe it's the accessories that it comes with, maybe it's the killer cord it comes with that is the factor (looking at you Z300) or, maybe the unit itself just punches above it's weight class. This hobby is crazy right now, so many things flying in at all different price points.
