The Airfix 7th Cav are so incredibly well done, regardless of their age, they are still top notch. My set back in the day was made from yellow plastic. Wish I still had them.

Iggy its a real treat after collecting figures for 50 plus years to see something new in the Gung Ho figures. Now I need to track some down.

The early yellow colour 7th Cavalry soldiers your talking about are the original mould colour. The dark blue you have there are rereleased figures. Either way very nice set. I wish I can get them.👍🇭🇲🦘✌️

This set would go very well with 2 sets of Custer's last battle from Waterloo 1815

@MrGekins Thank you for directions me to Waterloo 1815. I just ordered a box of 7th cavalry in ebay. Thanks again.

@@iggystoyparadesoldierrevie1092 They look very good with airfix. And almost the same color. I was also interested to see gung-ho soldiers. Never seen such before.

Don't they use metal oxides to colour plastic? Some newer plastic is made from less toxic colourants.

Ronald, are you a chemical engineer by any chance? You have made several comments that would suggest a scientific background.
@ronaldmcdonald83032 ай бұрын
@iggystoyparadesoldierrevie1092 No, but science and mathematics are some of my favourite topics. I'm autistic so I retain information fairly well. I am t thinking of doing a pesticides course at my old college. My dad used to work for Shell oil in Oman as an accountant, he's taught me a lot over the years in our various conversations and I like to read up on science too. I'm not a master of one, I'm sort of a jack of all trades knowing sporadic information on many subjects, but I wish I was more informed on a specific topic. Science and maths were my 2 top subjects at school.

@ronaldmcdonald8303 yes, it is apparent that you enjoy a large range of disciplines.

@iggystoyparadesoldierrevie1092 Ah, thanks. I do, I love learning. People are always telling me how knowledgeable I am, but as far as I am concerned I've only scratch the surface. There is a woman at work who knows 3 languages, I wish I did. She also knows a bit of Hebrew, but she is far more studious than me even though she claims she is only average intelligence. I think she is smarter then she thinks she is, but that's just me. I do enjoy a varied amount of interests. Along side my soldiers I collect flags, retro games and gaming consoles and currencies. My dad is the most qualified in my family on chemical engineering. I just love and enjoy maths and science. But I'm self taught, I have no formal degree or bachelor, I just like to pick up facts. I once watched a TV show called University challenge and I got all but 1 of the questions right. I did actually know the answer to the one I got wrong, I just couldn't recall the information in my brain at that moment. I got more questions right the 2 reams of university graduates, but I was just lucky. It's only easy if you know the answer. My. Um was very impressed but I just happened to have the right answer at the right time. Good luck mainly, I usually don't gave a clue what their talking about. I done a few flukes in my time, sometimes it seems I just have a lot of luck.

@iggystoyparadesoldierrevie1092 May I ask what sort of qualifications you have? You have a good sense of humour and you are laid back and fun loving. Did you know people with a sense of humour are more likely to be smart? You have so e of the straights of a braniac. I would bet that you are somewhat smarted then average, are you not?

I'm struggling to get a hold of this 7th Cavalry Airfix set. Those are the recast figure set. They are the best I've seen. Unfortunately I missed out on this set in my young days and now. The only place that has lots of them is Canada and they are very expensive. Nice figures. Even better when you paint them.👍🇭🇲🦘✌️

I'm in Australia. I've never come across any 7th Cavalry made here by gung-ho? That's a surprise to me. Airfix is much better. But if you were to paint all those you would have a good mix and match of all.👍🇭🇲🦘✌️

@@iggystoyparadesoldierrevie1092Gung Ho we’re a great little company here in Aus. The cavalry figures were fractionally small compared to Airfix or Marx , included a Gatling gun, and their best set, in my opinion, was the Vietnam range. I still have that complete set in white metal.. Another set they did and until a few months ago was still available , Steve Weston, was the Magnificent Seven and their opponents the Mexican Bandits. There was even a set of peasants. Great figures .. Hope that helps. Alan Black former owner Artefacts Collectables.
