Juat built an ar10 in 8.6. 12 inch barrel. 13.2 grains of 1680 gets me subsonic with 285gr barnes tsx. Wont cycle. Opening up the gas port now then playjng the buffer game. Going to test h110 and cfe black powders as well. Love the channel!!

1680 is a great powder for subsonics

Use Hornady 65 creed brass so you won't have to turn the necks and deal with complications that come from 308 brass

ill bet there is a lot of overlap between 300 and 8.6 blk powders. 1680 always runs guns , but its dirty.
@EagleReloads Жыл бұрын
I have a list of other powders to try. many smarter than I working on that too. the data shows 300 blk and even 6.5 staball.

Are there any small base 8.6blk dies to help the reloaded ammo function in AR builds?
@EagleReloads26 күн бұрын
I am not sure what you mean. small primer? I have made 1000's of rounds and shot 1000's of factory loads from the mfgs, they all pretty much function well. This caliber was intented and designed for semi auto and full auto. so feeding was a priority in the design.
@jack392741726 күн бұрын
@@EagleReloads a small base die undersizes the cartridge’s diameter a few thousandths of an inch to aid in feeding/ejection reliability. The round uses a 6.5 Creedmoor case which definitely wasn’t designed for cycling reliability in semi-auto rifles.
@jack392741726 күн бұрын
Can you do me a favor and measure the case’s base diameter on a few different rounds you’ve reloaded using that Hornady 8.6 die and let me know what they all measure out to?

Which suppressor did you end up going with?
@EagleReloads2 жыл бұрын
I have not ordered yet, but looking at the Dead Air Primal
@bluegrass48402 жыл бұрын
@@EagleReloads me too! Options are slim for what I want but the primal fits the bill and it isn't crazy expensive
@Haroldandbob2 жыл бұрын
@@EagleReloads I also went with the primal, the plan is a plan B xl when q releases those and a bored out 30 cal cap to .339. You could wait for a pork Chop to be released, but you're about as patient as I when it comes to this cartage. I'll be reloading my first brass in a few weeks, I'll let you know how it goes homie dawg

6.5 Creedmoor Hornady Brass works for easy conversion. I know you don't watch my channel
