Dutch’s speech puts the saying “calm before the storm” in motion. And to me it really showed how it was greed that ruined the family dynamic of the gang. They were all happy when they got Jack back, then with everyone they could’ve headed west but no. Dutch had another idea in how to get more “money” Dutch is the embodiment of the storm. It’s always brewing, just waiting to come down. And once it breaks through there’s no stopping the storm until the noise stops.

Rockstar went the extra mile when it came to things like the second detail in this video. If you go to a place thats under construction like say the building between the doctors and the saloon in Valantine and watch the guy on the roof nail down the titles you'll notice there is actually a nail model and it goes in as the guy hits it. If you watch Pearson, Abigail or Sadie cook and look closely you'll notice that they do actually slice the carrot into small pieces. They actually took the carrot model and split it into separate parts to create the illusion that the characters are actually slicing it into pieces because thats how much they care. Or use to at least.
@themadtitan76032 жыл бұрын
Agreed. I always loved these extra animations in this game that other AAA titles don't bother to add. I'm particular about that sort of stuff and whenever I see a game when construction workers don't actually hammer in the nail or a food prop isn't even cut (looking at you Marvel's Spider-Man which came a month before RDR2) it just breaks me out of the immersion. Even things like the watering depleting when shot through adds to that imo.
@StuartLugsden2 жыл бұрын
@@themadtitan7603 Speaking of the hammer, when the guy is done he'll put it behind him and it floats as tho he put it into an invisible holster and as far as I can remember NPCs that are picked for this scripted routine don't have a gunbelt. John has a hammer holster on his gunbelt when he builds his house (which wasn't added the wardrobe by the way) so that dose make me wonder if the NPC was suppose to have one on his belt thats behind him. Also Insomniac did add some great details like Taskmaster watching Spiderman doing his challenges from a distance and disappearing in a ball of smoke if you get close and Peter actually having 3 chest hairs on him if you zoom in.

Not to mention the lumberjacks will actually cut down trees, that's really cool

Neat detail about the Thunderstorm that happens during the night at Jack's rescue celebration, is that you can see a moment early in the evening where Molly O'Shea tries to talk to Dutch and he brushes her off as usual. She will go and get drunk (and I THINK tries to talk to Abigail or Sadie), then spends the night basically sleeping outdoors in that little circular veranda that is across from the house. You can actually follow her at many of the campsites and find her sulking and getting progressively depressed as the game goes on, especially after any of the interactions where she gets into an argument with Dutch. But to even notice most of those, you gotta go out of your way to follow her and ignore the other gang members. Which plays into the whole narrative of how she is largely forgotten/ignored by everyone and treated like an outsider the entire game (like the fact you never actually do a single quest/favor for her and the only time you ever begin a quest of hers she gets cut-off by Uncle mid-sentence and it becomes a quest for someone else).
