Fresno is my called home. I lived my whole life in Fresno. I loved my town.

Unfortunately, there are lot of negative remarks about Fresno from people most likely who have not contributed anything toward making Fresno a better living experience. Yes, Fresno has its problems like any growing city/community, but as a native Fresnan for 66 years I have seen improvements throughout different parts of the city, through the years. I will say though, adding Clovis to the video was misleading being that Clovis and Fresno are two separate towns. Also, Fresno is a more culturally and ethnically diverse place than Clovis, which is run by a very conservative mayor and city council. Regarding the video in general, it was poorly done. There are many good people and neighborhoods and areas south of Herndon besides the tower district. Sadly, Fresno State and Fresno City College were not included in the listing of educational institutions. There is still much work to do in Fresno, but with that said, we are still a safer place to be right now than a San Francisco, or Los Angeles.

I am happy to live in Fresno. I was born in Mexico and raised in the United States, with Fresno being my home throughout my life. I don't want to go out of Fresno to live in for life. And Clovis is a smaller city that is adjacent to Fresno. Each city has its bad and good sides and things. I do enjoy these neighborhoods listed in Fresno, California here.

When it comes to housing, safe and cheaper don't always go together. If you want to live in a nicer area (i.e. safer), I recommend north of Herndon Ave. Rent (for an apartment) around that area will start around $1300.

That’s insane. Concidering I come from Bay Area San Jose and the population there is 1 million exact. So Fresno is next big city that is at least affordable and has a lot.

@jdos5643 I just moved back to Fresno from Los Angeles it's honestly the best decision! Homes are affordable, food is a whole lot cheaper aswell as gas and I don't have to wait in traffic for an hour an half. The county of fresno has over a million people the city has over 600,000 people.
