I visited a few years ago and stayed in a hotel within walking distance to the Twin Towers - I was very impressed with the Twin Towers (world's tallest building) and also all the malls around it. People are so nice and food is so delicious! I also like their train system, and the sky rail (or monorail?). Very advanced country.

I don’t know about you, but I do think Alishan and Taroko gorge in Taiwan and Busan and Jeju in SK are quite pretty. Taiwan’s national palace museum hosted one of the most extensive chinese artifact and artwork of China. The average artifact and relic found in China now are often B grade, however, in Taiwan’s NPM, it’s often AAA grade. The museum is the best around the world by a mile.

Jeju has been a dud ever since the Koreans discover they can get better beaches with cheaper prices in Vietnam or Phillipines. Taiwan I spent 3 days in there and that's about it, will never visit again. Taiwan, Singapore, South Korea are the 3 countries I have visited that fall into the category of "visit once to know, then never again" on my travel bucket list. No spectacular scenery, no beaches, too small, too generic for a repeat visit.

I find Singapore and Taiwan very boring in these aspect. Seoul has good night life, but that's not enough for me. I'm big on scenery, night life, and beaches. Let's say my travel preferences are different from you. I know the Koreans don't like their own beaches (make sense, if I were them I would do the same, lol). The Singaporeans prefer to do shoppings in Bangkok or Saigon, and Taiwanese don't like to travel in their own countries much. LOL.
