To fix the hole in the case, use a hole saw to cut out a similar sized piece of plastic from something disposable. That way you can fill the majority of the hole easy. Epoxy it in from the underside. Bondo or plastic fill for the top surface should give you a flush surface, then a little spray paint and you'll have to look really close to see it.

Nice set of donations! A quick tip on the Odyssey 1, the cartridges do rewire the internals of the console, but there is nothing preset, it just enables various combinations of generators in the console, it also controls power so when a cartridge is removed the system is off. Magnavox was also quite fast and loose with the sync standards, you may need an older TV to be able to sync to the game, a TV with at least a vertical hold and fine tuning control, one with vertical, horizontal and fine tuning would be even better.

Regarding Modulators. The standard UK frequency for modulators was Channel 36 as it was between bands 4 and 5 and unallocated for any TV channel. It was originally used for other things like airfield radar so if you lived near an airfield like Filton you would have to adjust up or down to free channel or get an annoying blip every couple of seconds. When Channel 5 launched on Channel 36 they had to pay engineers to go round and readjust everyone's VCR !

"Mr. Duct Tape Package" must have attended the packing seminars I hold for Santa's elves! ;) I tend to use packing tape pretty lavishly myself on eBay packages I'm shipping out, which makes it a bit harder for the buyers to open their packages, but (as part of the overall thorough packing job I generally do) helps the packages to arrive at their destinations safe and sound, which in turn helps with my feedback rating on eBay.

Wow, I haven't seen one of those Palms in years! I remember my mom bringing one home from work way back in the day. That one you have must be well before Palm got sued by the Pilot pen company, and started calling them PalmPilot (and then ended up getting sold to 3com as I recall?)

I personally think that handspring visor is a lot more interesting than pilot, because it has a springboard slot, allowing the device to do even more. For example, you can put the camera module or GPS module on it. And they work even today.

I love how the Socrates cartridges looked like floppy disks! Just seems so backwards, and yet very cute.

I had a TRS-80 Model I as a kid, but mine had the numeric keypad. The one you got does not. I played an Odyssey in a store back in the 70s. When I was at a girlfriend's house, her mother had a word processor similar to one of the ones you got. It sticks out in my mind that I looked at the screen and saw it said "Word Processor Off." I wondered why it would display anything if it was turned off.

9:35 - I also have one of these, with speech module ( I think.. ) But the condition can be a bit poor. I know the drawing pad is pretty much shot.

"Do not drop or CRT will *IMPLODE!* " You gotta love the packaging on these older computers.
