I like how the 8-Bit Guy deals with mostly retro computers ('70-'80), LGR deals with newer old computers ('80-'90) and older games, and Techmoan deals with older video/audio formats and dashcams. All different things but each does there thing so well!

To fix the hole in the case, use a hole saw to cut out a similar sized piece of plastic from something disposable. That way you can fill the majority of the hole easy. Epoxy it in from the underside. Bondo or plastic fill for the top surface should give you a flush surface, then a little spray paint and you'll have to look really close to see it.

9:51 isn't it funny how those cartriges look a bit like floppy disks,in term of the design, you know, because they seem to have a similar design when it comes to that metal part, while on the floppy that part is made of metal, here on the cartrige it's just scoulped, yet it so cute to see...that was just me nit picking for fun.

No, indigo is blue. It's the colour in a rainbow that most people would call "blue", but for some reason the "blue" in rainbows is actually cyan. Indigo dye, from the plant, is blue. #0000FF pretty much. It's really not purple.

Well, in that case, while you are researching, you should look at Philips Videopac as it seems to be the same system. Philips Videopac was the European version of this system. As far as I remember, it seems to be more of a console than a home computer, even though it had a keyboard. I could be mistaken though, as I didn't have much contact with these cool looking machines aside from a demo model in a nearby store.

The price of blank lightscribe disks has gone up quite a bit. They used to cost about 50 cents. When I last bought some they were about $1.80. I think this is because HP dropped support of the system. Too bad it was a great way to label disks.

Nice set of donations! A quick tip on the Odyssey 1, the cartridges do rewire the internals of the console, but there is nothing preset, it just enables various combinations of generators in the console, it also controls power so when a cartridge is removed the system is off. Magnavox was also quite fast and loose with the sync standards, you may need an older TV to be able to sync to the game, a TV with at least a vertical hold and fine tuning control, one with vertical, horizontal and fine tuning would be even better.

The original Apple II ran quite warm. If it was full of add-on cards even more so. Kensington's first ever product, in fact, was a fan that would attach to the vent slots on the left side called a "System Saver". The system saver came out before the "Darth Vader" II did though; too bad whoever modified this computer didn't learn about it first!

Nmos100 Well unfortunately that's more of an accent / dialect thing than the actual mispronunciation of ill-en-oy ;)

Not entirely true. It's a French attempt at a Native American word, so it would properly be pronounced il-i-noy or il-i-nwa. (All others are just pretending to be correct.)

Oh. I had an Odyssey 2, or Philips Videopac G7000 as it was called here in Europe. Got it back in -78 when it came out and I had so much fun with it. Wish I still had it.

He was just kidding around, you know... bringing some life, character, and humor into his video. This guy is super genuine. I cannot imagine him being anything short of "nicest guy in the world." But maybe you were just kidding with your comment :) Peace

Yes! NASCAR 99!! That game brings back so many memories. It was literally one of the only games I would play back in the day, I’ve since graduated to the Forza Motorsport/Horizon series of games. If you have the chance you should give it a go.

You should show off those 1541 manuals and the depth they go into, they're wonderful. The days when programming a computer was such an integral part of using it that they made sure everyone had the resources to get started.

I'm watch this while sitting in the current Bell & Howell office. I would love a Darth Vader Apple II. Originally these were used for early document processing and industrial automation tasks, so they would live in some pretty harsh factory conditions.

"Mr. Duct Tape Package" must have attended the packing seminars I hold for Santa's elves! ;) I tend to use packing tape pretty lavishly myself on eBay packages I'm shipping out, which makes it a bit harder for the buyers to open their packages, but (as part of the overall thorough packing job I generally do) helps the packages to arrive at their destinations safe and sound, which in turn helps with my feedback rating on eBay.

I have the original Odyssey. My Dad bought it in the mid 70's. It was fun trying to keep the overlays on the tv screen. I can't wait till you review it. I still have it and the light gun that goes with it. Well more of a Light Rifle. The controllers are weird. But you will get used to them. I hope it works.

Interesting. The Magnavox Odyssey 2 was called the Philips Videopac 7000 here in Europe and my friend had one back in the day when they were new, so that's what we used to play with before the VIC-20 and Commodore 64 came around... lots of memories from that thing. I also have a TRS-80 Model 4p (the portable version), but don't have any software or even the OS for it... it did start up when I tried the last time in the 90's, but it is just asking for a system disk... :) We had TRS-80's in high school in the 80's, but my own has been just an "ornament"... :) And even I live in Finland, I have visited Kennedale TX 3 years ago... :) Had my lunch at the Burger Box. :D
