Just stumbled across your channel yesterday. Earlier today I watched your walktrough of a boat tour you did of a widebeem Crick 2023 (video 108) which had tablets controlling lights and a few other things, and just now watched this one as well. I like that you don't seem to have any internet connected smart devices controlling of your boat. I am a computer nerd who knows a lot of how these «smart» internet connected things operate, and how they fail spectacular if the service/server the devices connect to is shutdown for whatever reason. Then all the smart connected devices stop being smart, or even working at all. Some of the companies operating these services have gone bankrupt, resulting in abruptly closing all services. others have simply closed their services for older devices, forcing the users to do costly upgrades. The only smart devices I will allow at my home are those fully controlled by me, and any server they connect to is something that I alone fully controll. This way I decide if i ever want to replace these devices, and how they operate. I follow a few youtubers living on boats, and I must say that if I was to live on a canal boat, I would prefer a wide beam due to the extra space. Greetings from a happy countryside house owner, in the middle of Norway. 🙂

Wow. That is the first one which seriously impressed me. Just the design cleverness, quality appliances, superior head, well thought out master suite, everything was a step above anything I have seen. Thanks for sharing. I am considering commissioning an ocean rated (for the Great Loop) barge with non-standard dimensions: 65’ LOA with a 17’ beam. I need a master with en-suite and a VIP with combo en-suite/day head. I also need a hydraulic davit and 14’ Tender, in addition to yacht type features like a water maker, electric heads, black water holding tanks, wastewater treatment system, air conditioning, the list is long. Thanks so much and I hope you don’t mind if I borrow some of your clever ideas and design.

Buster really REALLY likes tours! I think your interiors are my favorite of all tour videos I've watched. They have an understated luxe which is timeless. Lovely modern boat! Great amenities & finishes. Do the windows & ports have shades/screens? (looked like it). I could live on this part time no problem. The only thing I'd prefer here would be a wider walk-though bathroom/dressing room - for better space utilization (even with the occasional bed). However - This is still the best widebeam I've ever seen!

This is the most beautiful canal boat I've ever seen. It's somewhere that I think almost anyone could just move in & relax, but no doubt pretty pricy ! The 12ft 6in width makes SO much difference in what you can do inside !!! The only thing I dislike is the kitchen to lounge size - make that a bit more living with a chair or 2, & a little less kitchen & the layout would be perfect. How to power all of this is the biggest issue I would think, do the solar panels do it all ?

Hi Veronica 👋 thank you we absolutely love her 😁 I would also not have black granite worktops if I could choose now, as they really show the dust lol 😂 In the summer the solar panels power everything. In the winter we either plug in to shore power or run the engine if the power gets low, thinking about getting a small generator but we’ll see 😁

Thank you 🙏 floor to ceiling it’s about 6ft 10 inches so plenty of room. The bed is about 24 inches high for the storage and the length and width of king size bed 😁

I have been sceptical on Collingwood builds after reading reviews from around 2015. Some people were happy with the shell but not so happy with the fitout. I haven't found any reviews from more recent times though. I see the shell was built by Collingwood, was the fit out built by them too? This is a lovely interior and exactly what I've been envisioning for my own wide beam. I haven't got one yet but I've spent several years on water previously. It was a beautiful experience and am now looking to become residential again. After seeing this tour it's making me seriously consider Collingwood again.

Hi Faith, thank you for leaving a comment. Yes the whole build and fit out is Collingwood, we’ve been very happy with her. We’ve had a few snagging issues, which do take a while to be rectified but they do get done eventually haha 😂

@@faithmutti2197 most definitely even bricks and mortar have issues! We do 2 really good solar panels and are going to add some more as soon as we are able. We do take Vivere completely off grid for lengths of time but aren't full time live aboard just yet, hope to be in the not so distant future!
