Sneaky wee fact for ya. The jet boat, bungy, and canyon swing are all kiwi inventions. I just think doing those things in NZ makes it all the bit better.
@chazthehoon5 жыл бұрын
bungy was actually invented in Bristol, UK but you have the others :) Queenstown however is awesome and is like Disneyland for adults
@campbellbraddock15495 жыл бұрын
@@chazthehoon Your right, however, A.J. Hackett took it to the mainstream,
@Andy_M9865 жыл бұрын
The Bungy jump is actually something that was done in the Papua New Guinea or Vanuatu areas first,before it was done in the U.K, AJ Hackett just improved on it.
@Andy_M9865 жыл бұрын
@Spark1275 Aj Hackett did it in the 80s.the English guys did it first in 1979, it's not a Kiwi first i'm afraid.

Awesome list! Man, there is SO SO SO much to do in Queenstown. We were there 10 days, did an activity (or 2) every single day AND still only did about half the things you mention on this list. We did do Skippers Canyon jet though which, we agree with you, was pretty awesome thanks to the whole journey getting there on that ridiculous gnarly road, but we have to warn you guys to NOT underestimate the scariness of the Ledge Bungy! Running and jumping into the abyss is so surreal and Robin (part of our backpacker squad here on our channel) nearly passed out! Had to get the doctors in and everything. Haha. Anyway, awesome content - we love what you do here on YT :) Can't wait for more NZ videos!

there are other places in nz you can do these activities on bit cheapest side, i don't know why i never like queenstown, probably too crowded over price even parking cost me $16 for less than 3 hours and took 30 mins to find parking, rather go west coast or mt cook

Great video. I went to Queenstown recently on a trip to the South Island. Did the coach/boat trip to Milford Sound (amazing), did the Nevis Swing bungy (amazing), had a Ferg Burger (not worth the massive queue, its just an average burger), did the Luge (such a rush)... But, the biggest let down of Queenstown and indeed the entire South Island is the people unfortunately... I wasn't on a budget so could have stayed in hotels, but as a solo traveller, stayed in hostels to be social and meet people. But no one wanted to chat. Not in the hostels, bars, restaurants, even on activities. Everyone was too busy on their social media, headphones in or just talking to the person they travelled with. Even the locals wouldn't engage in polite conversation. I wasn't hitting on anyone or being over friendly yet no-one spoke to me for more than a couple of minutes. I didn't have a proper conversation with anyone for nearly 3 weeks. It's a real shame. I even looked into getting an earlier flight home due to boredom of eating and drinking alone every night. Stark contrast to the North Island where everyone is friendly. Advice if going to Queenstown - take a friend, because no else there will want to be yours.
@rmburn96345 жыл бұрын
Interesting. I spent 10 days there in 1992 and every single person was almost unreal friendly. Kinda like stepford wives friendly. I thought that the entire town and visitors could not possibly be this friendly. But they were. And yes I was traveling alone.
