This video again picks up right where the last left off. Day 5 and 6 start to get a bit colder and windier than my previous days, but I still manage to get into some really nice Northern Pike fishing, as well as a few Perch. Bringing the hot tent out to the lean-to was definitely the right decision, and made for a great way to warm up and cook some nice meals at night. Keep an eye out for the final part of this series next week, where the wind ends up becoming a bit more of a problem for me and I am forced to retreat to the lean-to in the middle of the night!

Really liking this series! You have given me another paddling/fishing destination to ponder! I also have a luxe hot tent, really enjoy it. The wood stove/hot tent is a game changer for shoulder season and winter camping!!

@@DaxWoodsWanderer Let me know if you have any questions about trapping. . . I helped two guys get into it last year! It's a lot of fun! I will have lots more trapping content coming this fall! I also liked your Northern Forest Canoe Trail video. . . I drive through that area a lot, it looked like pretty good fishing and great camping too!

@@DaxWoodsWanderer that would be great! We're probably going may 13th and 14th, the campground opens up the following weekend. I can imagine it gets pretty busy there, so I was thinking it probably would be better to get there before that.

Thank you so much for following along! I had a pretty busy week, but should have the last part of the video up very soon. I do indeed love that book, the stories and tales almost bring to life a time in the Adirondacks that I will never be able to see with my own eyes.

Sweet camping and fishing bro. That wood stove rocks 🤘🏼every time I try trolling with 2 lines in the water I end up with a tangled up mess myself 😆🤦🏻‍♂️

Continuing to enjoy your vids. Re the search light during the night. Had same experience on Long Lake maybe 20 years ago. Camping with my Dad and brother in a lean to. About 200am two motor boats scanned our campsite making lots of noise, They ended up camping couple hundred yards away. Non stop noise and partying for two nights. We still had a nice time, but don't like people going to the wilderness drinking too much, playing load music, load cursing etc. Oh well, catching up on your great vids.

I am glad you enjoy the videos Greg! I have definitely had nights like yours while out camping, the most recent that comes to mind was some party animals on St Regis Pond during the spring Trout fishing trip where I met up with the ADK_Addicts. These guys had all different animal calls they were sounding off with at night, hooting and hollering.

A really great series bro, but what happened to pt 4 can't find it anywhere. I've really been enjoying going through your videos Jay and am waiting anxiously until your next post. Safe paddling and tight lines my friend.

Hey Michael! Thanks again for watching, I do not think there actually will end up being a part 4 to this series. The last few days ended up being really slow on the fishing, with nothing TOO eventful besides a windstorm that kicked up the night before I came home. Maybe someday I will get around to editing some stuff from it together though!

That guy flashing his light around for a campsite would have freaked me out for sure. With my normal crew out there I know they wouldn't have slept well after that.

Nice, I have several follow up questions Do you only do single destination trips with your predator 14 ? If you do multiple locations, how do you portage your kayak ? Is it heavy ? How heavy ? & lastly is it not a pdl kayak ?
