Great ideas...I don't draw much, just paint...but it is always inspiring watching your videos. I used to doodle as a teen...the margins of my notebooks for high school always had doodles in them, unless I really had to write a lot and pay super close attention to the teacher...if the class was a bit boring, or repetitive...I always fell back on doodling.But man...that was ages ago...

Sometimes I really appreciate that we love the same subject matter but our styles are opposite, lol. What a world. But of all things today, I felt like doing something I used to hate: still life. In pastel this time. I'm trying to decide if for birthday/Christmas I should get an artist grade gouache or artist grade pastels (and if so, pencil or soft).

What sketchbook are you using in this video? I love the size and smooth paper. Does it hold light washes and markers with bleed through? This was lovely. I really enjoy your videos and style.

It's an Articka sketchbook, I haven't tested it with anything except coloured pencils but the paper feels thick enough to handle markers without full bleed through, although I think you'd be able to see through to the other side a little
