From what I know other fun verbs coming from English and ending with -αρω are σκρολάρω (to scroll) and τσεκάρω (to check). 😅 Very useful episode indeed. Slang expressions and words never stop surprising me and making me laugh.

Κασέρι ( Κaseri ) is not the yellow cheese in general. Ιt's A type of yellow cheese ( and that's the actual conflict among northerns and southerners - Northern Greeks use it for all types of yellow cheese - no matter if it's actual kaseri or cheddar, edam, gouda, etc. ) Kaseri is a medium-hard or hard pale yellow cheese made from pasteurised or unpasteurised sheep milk and at most 20% goat's milk."Kasseri" is a protected designation of origin, according to which the cheese must be made in the Greek provinces of Thessaly, Macedonia, Lesbos, or Xanthi.

I can remember going to Greece years ago (late 70's and 80's), and the Greeks had a word for a cool rock music fan ('Rokkas'), and a word for a dorky ass disco fan ('Kareklas')! Now, i'm 62 years old, so this was decades ago. Do Greeks still use these words today? 'Yasou' from Ohio.

Έχω την αίσθηση ότι ο αριθμός των ανθρώπων που έστω γνωρίζουν τι σημαίνει "κασέρι", " γιολάς" ή "πιστολιάζω", είναι λιγότεροι κ από αυτούς που ψήφισαν σήμερα. Δεν είναι ελληνική αργκό κ καθομιλουμένη αυτο.

Το γιολάς όντως πρώτη φορά το ακούω αλλά το κασέρι και το πιστολιάζω χρησιμοποιούνται συνέχεια.
