DHARMA WHEEL (Eightfold Path represents knowledge and understanding) Avalokiteshvara - embodies Buddha’s compassion. LOTUS - symbolizes purity and compassion and is the symbol of Avalokitershvara’s family Vajrapani embodies Buddha’s power. PARASOL - represents protection of the Dharma, Vajrapani’s role Maitreya embodies Buddha’s activity. He is the most active because Maitreya is to be the next or “Future Buddha”. VICTORY BANNER is the symbol of victory over Samsara as Maitreya promised The Earth Store Bodhisattva Kshitigarbha embodies Buddha’s merits and the “richness” derived from merits. TREASURE VASE representing the wealth of the Dharma and vast merits Samantabhadra embodies the aspirations and conduct of Buddha through the practice of the Bodhisattva path. GOLDEN FISH PAIR representing fearlessness of the Bodhisattva path - they swim the dangerous waters of Samsara with eyes wide open at all times Akashagarbha embodies Buddha’s blessings and blessing qualities. A major contribution to Mahayana outreach. Many thanks. Note that the Eight Bodhisattvas are found in the eight psychic channels of the psychic heart center. That is why the lotus mudra of Avalokitesvara held at the heart has eight points. The thumbs touch and the little fingers touch while the palms are open and the other fingers are spread. This is fundamental to Buddhist medical tantra.

In Chinese Pure Land Buddhism we recognize only 4 Bodhisattvas such as Kuan Yin,Manjusri, Di Zhang,and Samanthabhadra. "Amitabha"🙏🙏🙏❤

The sequence of practice in Mahayana Buddhism is represented in China by the four Great Bodhisattvas: Di Zhang ( Earth Store ) of Juihua Mountain; Guan Yin (Great Compassion) of Putuo Mountain; Wen Shu Shi Li (Manjusri) of Wutai Mountain; and Pu xian ( Samanthabhadra ) of Emei Mountain. These four Great Bodhisattvas exemplify this understanding and represent the Perfection of Mahayana Buddhism. Therefore, from Earth Treasure Bodhisattva, we learn filial piety and respect, from Guan Yin Bodhisattva,we learn great compassion, from Manjusri Bodhisattva we learn great wisdom and from Samanthabhadra Bodhisattva we learn the great vows and conduct. The "specialist" Bodhisattva would be Sarvanivarana-Vishkambhin who purifies obstructions. although the practice of any Bodhisattva is also both merit-producing and purifying. We will have a video on each Bodhisattva in future, but for now, Sarvanivarana-Viskambhin symbolizes radiant clear light. His primary function is to remove one's afflictions and karmic obstacles. He can also eliminate troubles and worries, negative karmic forces, the cycle of life and death, and obstructions to wisdom. He will continue to save sentient beings from the suffering of afflictions until they reach liberation. When people chant the name of Sarvanivarana-Viskambhin with a pure heart and mind they will expand their virtue and wisdom. All contamination will be purified and they will reach ultimate purification. Sarvanivarana-Viskambhin can fulfill the wishes of sentient beings and make them tranquil and fearless. Most practices of Sarvanivarana-Viskambhin (and other Bodhisattvas) always start by praising all eight of the Bodhisattvas for merit. If you are in need of "more energetic" help, Vajrapani is the activities of all the Buddhas as a Bodhisattva, and many people are drawn to this popular Bodhisattva. He embodies both peaceful and wrathful activities. Due to Avalokiteshvara's limit and unending compassion, he is is highly purifying for most people. His compassion ensures you receive the merits and purification and steadfast love and compassion (when purifying negativities, it is helpful to keep the compassionate Bodhisattva in mind to help heal and to create merit for future positive karma. All Bodhisattvas are complete, so all of their practices can help purify obstacles and negativities. In kindness, BW Hope this helps.
