Thank you for your video. I have done two transatlantic cruises with NCL Getaway. one was from Rome to Florida stops in Florence, Cannes, France, Bacelona, Vigo, Malaga, Lisbon and Azores, two was South Hampton to New York with stops in France, Spain and Portugal. We enjoyed our cruises on NCL the one negative was if you wanted to watch a movie in your room, they charged $10-15 for really old movies.

Great tips, thanks so much for sharing. We have only done one transatlantic, but were truly disappointed in the lack of things to do. The Norwegian ship we were on tended to have all activities in the atrium, meaning that people hoarded the seats and even slept during some of the activities. I recommend bringing cards, games, a good book, things to keep yourself busy. The weather is not the best at the repositioning timeframes, so expect rain and some rough seas. Another consideration is the price of things once on board. We recently sailed Celebrity Apex, and the least priced glass of wine is $17. With gratuity, that is $20 for a glass of wine with dinner. Purchasing beverage packages is not cost effective for us, but for those long trips, your audience might want to research the items that are important to them while searching for the best deal.

Thanks for the great feedback. It is interesting, I've seen similar comments about other NCL crossings but we have never sailed them on a transatlantic so it is only what we see/hear. Maybe they have cut back on some activities. But agree, you should make sure you can keep yourself busy as well. Since we also work remotely we never have an issue filling time but there are a lot of hours/sea days. Definitely a key we have found with beverages is to build up status on a particular cruise line. With RCL and Celebrity we do get some free drinks each day and that adds up since we also cannot justify the cost of ht beverage packages which have gotten about outrageous.

That looks like a great ship with a lot of 'new' for Princess. Glad you got yourself a deal there. As for coming back, normally the repos back to the USA are in October & November. Unless there is a repo that is coming off a refurbishment, change of schedule, etc. There is always the Cunard Queen Mary 2 that comes back on a regular schedule - you could look into those options. Carnival Valor has a return from Barcelona in June. End of July Crown Princess returns. Hope you find a good one :)

Yep, it's just typically what is used by the crulse lines as to area. Like when the ship is in Trieste in Italy in actuality but they say "Venice" many times. Or "Paris" when it isn't even close :)

One deal which caught my eye here in the uk recently was the Sun Princess transatlantic in March this year, pricing here starting at £552 (circa $98 per couple per day) for the 14 night sailing + Grats (Princess Plus package seems a no-brainer though) for an inside, but perhaps even better is the balcony price starting at £697 pp, only $25 per couple extra per day.

No balconies in those days. A single pool in the middle of the ships interior. I would guess that the ship was shorter and narrower than modern cruise ships. My brother at 16 y.o. was 6'4" 210 lbs and looked like an adult. He was buying drinks for other kids on the ship.

Families can definitely book with the exception of any sailing on Viking Ocean or Viking Voyages which are both adult only. Virtually all the rest are multi-generational.

Comments: 1) I just booked two December cruises to the Southern Caribbean on HAL Rotterdam and Eurodam for $69/$60 pppd respectively. Unfortunately, I broke my arm on the 1st leg and was medically disembarked in Curacao. 2) I saw a deal on the Sky Princess repo cruise this month as low as $29 pppd right before we left. I also saw a Virgin repo cruise for $99 pppd which I though was an incredible deal. 3) Some of the MSC solo supplements on non-suite cabins are as low as 20%. Despite all of the hype that the cruise lines are spewing about being all sold out, I see incredible deals on most lines if you are not picky about the cabin locations. So many of the cruises are on hold with a $100 deposit pp or even less that would make it easy to walk away with little penalty. Personally, I did not like the Rotterdam that much. There was little to do on board during the day on sea days Walking on the promenade deck is like a walk through an industrial as opposed to walking on a boardwalk.

Ie: surge protectors, transformers power blocks/ plugs, starlink mini, etc? Basically things a Nomad or remote worker might have and use for work. Not necessarily while onboard but in the countries you're going to. 🤔

I have never taken a Cruise but I want to move to Albania. I just heard about a reposition Cruise from another person i follow on KZbin because that's how he moved to Albania last year. Done transatlantic many times. Even did odyssey April 21st to Rome this year and did NCL and Virgin while in Europe. I already booked Virgin Voyages Halloween solo (I will do NCL in Europe first) and VV will take me home. I love ❤️ it. Last year, flew to Seattle for a B2B-took last Alaska sailing and then came back on Panama Canal on Encore. It was amazing!

This year we went in both directions by ship but that is not going to be typical. We will usually have one way by air. We will always use points and miles to fly - I cannot remember the last time we paid full price for a flight. We sign-up for the top credit cards and get sign-up bonuses and earn points on spend. We use our points on these flights.

We found an amazing deal on a repositioning on Regal Princess in March 2026 from Galveston to Fort Lauderdale. It goes from the Western Caribbean and Cozumel down to the ABC islands, then out to the Eastern Caribbean Islands including barbados, Antigua and back to Fort lauderdale. It's an extended Caribbean cruise and it is a bargain
