Malatang basically is “Korean” in Korea because it’s so popular. Same with pork cutlet even tho it’s technically Japanese. Those two are so so popular and integrated into Korean Cuisine that it’s basically “Korean” and not foreign anymore.

Maybe it's me being an arm-chair quarterback, but I thought No. 9 was unquestionably Korean from the very first moment. The Lakers Jersey guy was really cool, but he also felt very non-Korean.
