Extremely precise what pratyahara is .🙂Much better known than many gurus ...Congratulation..Pratyahara is the most important step of yoga as is the step where you create the internal map of your body...and this leads to saving energy,focusing mind as the senses distractions dissapear .Usually we create in mind the map of external world and by pratyahara we create the map of internal world..togheter with emotions,feelings.We actualy enhance the relation between body and mind and this leads to greater body energy ...The most yoghis do not evoluate in yoga spirituality because they do not master pratyahara...Congratulation for your knowledges...and your presentation..👍.

Thank u so much. I love your EXPLANATIONS. & for me, u r a GREAT TEACHER. I USE ALL MY SENSES while I PRACTICE YOGA & sometimes, most of the time when I was in a YOGA STUDIO, I was chowing gums, but been CONNECTED with myself during the PRACTICE is what I do the most. what made me "notice" sometimes that I was stopping chowing my gum & it was just in the sides of my mouth. I also close my eyes sometimes during all my practices, I have already practice a whole yoga class with a band in my eyes & it was kind of "difficult" with BALANCE. Tonight Im gonna practice PRATYAHARA with closed eyes. "lets see" what happens. Practicing YOGA helped me to put myself together & also became how I have to find BALANCE within as HUMAN BEING with PSYCHIC GIFTS. I swear for GOD, HELPED ME A LOT, 12 years ago. I learned how to #CALM down my SENSES not taking them away but letting myself being #QUIET MIND & steady in who I AM as well.

in our modern world where our attention is being pulled in every direction and there are constant sources of entertainment outside of ourselves, pratyahara is the limb of yoga that can help us to break away from that dependence on external input and start to build real awareness of our internal landscape

@@LauraGYoga Thank you. I also have the 5 PSYCHIC SENSES very HIGH. So.... sometimes I just need to ACCEPT that I AM A POWERFUL HUMAN BEING & I AM GRATEFUL for it.

All this talk and no mention of Rishi Patanjali neither of The Yog Sutras nor Sanatan Dharma . I wonder why do western ' Yoga Practitioners ' want to yank ' yoga ' out of the fold of Dharma and want to establish it as some sort of new age thing ?
