It’s actually quite remarkable how well the battle of Yavin holds up as a sequence even after nearly 45 years. From the designs, to the actors, to the cinematography to the pacing/ editing and sound design to John William‘s amazing score, it’s pretty perfect and barely shows its age.

@@mkolt the new Star Wars stuff is mostly really well made. Just as the original trilogy was. So I think it's just not Right if you say "it's mostly because the new Star Wars stuff is sh*t". Not only is it not true (although I am sorry that you don't like it), but also devalues your statement the achievement of the original film, which still holds up not because newer stuff is bad, but because it was simply THAT good! :D Of course you have a right to personally dislike the newer Star Wars media, hence my comment, if you don't like it, don't watch it (but don't just blurt out senselessly that you don't like the new stuff unless you have anything meaningful to say).
