Yes thank you. People called my sister racist when she said people need to stop breaking into places and people should do peaceful protest. Violence on Violence doesn't solve anything but the peaceful paths do. 😔❤

How long do peaceful protests have to be ignored until people start making people care? How many people have to die before they get listened to? Nobody changed anything when Kaepernick kneeled, but they sure as hell whined a lot then too.

You mix up two things. This is organized protest. What you mean is spontaneous riots fueled by mindless rage. Comparing apples and oranges.
@mzhall044 жыл бұрын
Brewed tea violence on violence doesn’t solve anything but people are getting shot in the face with rubber bullets who are in wheelchairs homeless and not protesting. That was done by the same people who are supposed to be protecting the country. People breaking into stores is not ok but material items can be replaced. What can’t be is people’s eyesight being lost, the trauma from people being beat with police shields and sticks, spraying people in the face with pepper spray standing in one spot not speaking, or dying because the pepper spray triggered asthma and took a young girls life. There’s no make up for any of that done to people who were not stealing, vandalizing, or a threat of any kind. You say violence don’t solve anything but trump feels that’s exactly what was needed and executed his plan as stated. I’m not sure what information your ignoring or missing but the people taking advantage do not out number those doing things peacefully world wide. Your sister wasn’t wrong but bad seeds do exist. Those stores will be replaced, lives can’t come back.

I once helped a black man in a similar situation. He was lying on the floor and shouting in pain already. I was just talking with my neighbor. Then I told him there's something wrong. He didn't even notice the man was in distress. We just went there fast and while we approached the plainclothes police man got up and showed his badge. That stopped us but it also stopped the pain the officer was inflicting. Just grab someone and approach the scene. The perpetrator - whether police or other criminals - have to now that you are there to help.
@DawnDiggetyNoDoubt4 жыл бұрын
There were people all over telling him to stop. What you gonna do when you are black and have a family to go home to? You know the cops are going to hurt or kill you if you tried to push that pig off of Floyd.

@@DawnDiggetyNoDoubt Good question. Strength by the numbers helps. Talk with people around. Don't go alone. Sometimes it even helps to call "other" police because then they get peer review and can't get away with murder that easily.

Just a slight note: The mayor of San Diego is Kevin Faulconer, a Republican. The mayors of Portland, Chicago, and Seattle where riots are, either, flaring up here and there, or are in their 70th day are Democrats. I'd like to think that the effort Kevin made to his community makes everyone feel respected enough that they can stand by the Sheriff's Department without concern and hold a silent protest.

Have you alter my perspective or maybe I can broaden yours. Ken, you’re the exact kind of person we so desperately need to bridge the gap of communication. Less MSM and more talking to one another. I wish for you, your friends and family to stay safe in these bizarre times. To anyone reading this.. talk before you shout, cuz when you’re shouting you lose the ability to listen. We need to stop going on moral hiatuses to try to be white knights for a certain class or race. We need to start understanding that these issues aren't racially exclusive. We need to address problems not on the basis of our political lean or skin color. If you're going to take a side, side with righteousness and levelheadedness.

I love the Free Hugs Project and all you do, showing all sides and people who truly suffer and want peace. I am moved by the many across the country taking a stand against racism. Apart from those that are purely radical agitators, I know that most are sincere and only want equality and unity. I don't care what banner or slogan someone uses, whether Black Lives Matter or any other, if they are really promoting peace and liberty I stand with it. Unfortunately I feel many are being fooled though, being taught an ideology of hate in peace clothing, that promote racism in the name of fighting racism. Promote authoritarianism in the name of antifascism. Those I will never support and stand against those no matter how sincere in their belief they are doing right, I believe they are achieving the opposite of any stated goals they are trying to sell to the people.

This is perfect! This is what the First Amendment is talking about. Solidarity, coming together in unity to demonstrate for an agreed upon ideal...but what the First Amendment really says is, don't just stop at demonstration. Draw up petitions for change, walk the neighborhoods and ask for signatures, bring those petitions before the House and ask your representatives to do their jobs and create new policies, revise old ones, and get rid of the ones that are broken. That's where change begins in this Nation! Follow through! Anger isn't the solution.

Make the police force have to go through more training as to better serve the nation, let us put an end to the negativity within politics and stop saying what the other person wont do and say what YOU will do. Let us be a United people again. Let us not identify by the color of our skin but by the country in which we live in, by the nation that gives us freedom. Let us come together AS AMERICANS AS A PEOPLD UNITED TO BRING. So that we may give those who seek to come to America life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
