I use the sisterlocs moisturizer and find it helps keep my locks moisturized and lint free. The ingredients include aloe vera and oils. I mix a small amount in water and shake it up in my mister. To moisturize I spritz my hair with water, and follow up with the moisturizer I use the praying hand motion to distribute the moisturizer through my hair to seal in the moisture. I hope this helps! Your loss are beautiful!

Your hair looks so good! I’m 6 mo the into my micro braidloc journey now. With your hair feeling hard I do know with my first set of locs once my hair started feeling hard that was basically the feel of my hair locing.

Growth will sneak up on you. Thick hair “stacks”, until one day the weight will show your length.

I must first say say Tanish that you look so pretty in your wine colored top! Also your hair is coming along nicely. I'm loving the fullness. Did you measure the size of your locs b/c you say you wish that they were bigger. What would be your perfect size? I'm wearing twists but haven't committed to loc'ing my hair yet. Still trying to decide if I want to cut my hair & get SL next yr. Also I would have loved to have seen the lines of demarcation that you spoke of between your interlocking and the loctician's. Also the size difference from where the interlocking ends and the twists begin. Maybe you can show us in your next update video.

Love your hair...for your edges to stay I actually suggest once you lock them try cornrow them back in that row. I'm almost three years in with sisterlocks and I had the same problem and so that's what I did and it helped a lot. Also if you find that the edges tend to break off it's because the hair of course is a lot weaker than the rest of the hair you can actually use some Afro human hair and just braid it into the lock and it will give you a stable lock

Lookin good! ❤️ I have a set of traditionals, 9mo old this weekend 🙌🏾, and I also still have a few curly ends. I’m not fighting it though to keep the ‘goddess’ look - I’m thinking it’s better to just let them do their thing/not tamper with the loc process and if I decide I want a curly end or two later I can just comb those out a bit. Besides my ends already tangle on each other and catch things so I’m already over them lol

I was watching another KZbinr that had her locks for around 10 years and she said to get rid of the hardness she put conditioner on hair about once a month maybe you might want to try that but not so often like her because her hair is fully matured

Hi there! What was your experience when you went to a loctician? Were they open to working with you even though you started them yourself?
