Thank you for sharing Kayla! I am really enjoying your videos 😊I hope you are doing well! It's really comforting and reassuring to hear someone else going through the same challenges as we are...what you said about resentment, for example.

Honestly, you're doing amazing! I watched your entire video and you seem to have such a great head on your shoulders. Be there, but allow them to grow. Help, but teach them independence. Work hard, but ask for help when you need it. I just love that you've posted this, and that your open and honest as well as have confidence in yourself. Great balance is the key to surviving the first year. I had twins and it was so difficult, especially without support as family was not close at hand. I think your instincts are already telling you not to go into her room at nap-time as you'll establish a routine of her waiting for you to come back...and you'd be right. Its distressing when they start to become mobile, but take it from a mom of twins, you establish the baseline and hold the line. ha! As she grows she will do less and less of what you want to her to do on demand, and like nap time, its possible you'll just have to wait out the standing up. Eventually she will find its not awesome falling asleep on the crib rails. As long as she's not in danger of falling out. Just leave her be (is what I'd do). That said, I know its SOOO hard not to wish they would go right to sleep so you can have peace of mind for those precious moments that they're down. And sleeping while they sleep, is well meaning advice, but then when do you get stuff done?! ha! Don't be hard on yourself, you're truly doing an amazing job. I do see the stress in your eyes though and all I can say is its totally and completely normal to be frustrated, tired (sometimes just due to the mental exhaustion), stressed and even depressed at times as a SAHM. Its hard to understand if you're not a SAHM, but SAHMs have major mental exhaustion due to every waking hour being a work hour. Try to find time for yourself outside to unwind and get fresh air. That always helps me. Now that my girls are in K, I'm finally able to work and unwind the last 5 years. ha!! Some of our (The Learning Patch) videos are for babies and relaxation. There's a music baby sensory Black/White/Red video as well as a farm life and fish life that she might enjoy to help relax....and honestly, they're relaxing for mom and dad as well. Good luck with this next challenge. Keep us updated on how/she does!! ...just followed you on Insta!

The Learning Patch thank you soooo much for the support! Seriously, your comment made my day when I read it earlier. First of all, you have twins?! You’re a superhuman. I don’t know how you do it lol so much respect, mama! But yes, I’m definitely stressed all the time with so much to do lol being a SAHM is the best but also the most challenging thing I’ve ever had to do. So rewarding and totally worth it but yes, I’m always working! Will definitely be checking out your videos! Thanks so much for connecting 💕

You're so welcome! THE STRUGGLE IS REAL! haha!! Just when you have a baby stage ironed out something new pops up to challenge you. So glad you're sharing. Its helpful for other mothers to see that their challenges are normal and totally great that you're inviting in support for yourself. So important! "It takes a village", as they say, even if its part virtual. ha! :D
