I’m 99% sure I’ve collected every weapon on this game, I still check these videos when they come out incase someone finds a weapon I haven’t managed to collect yet, but when you’re 500 hours into the game there isn’t very much I haven’t seen at this point 😂

Just as a side note. The magma blade farm can be made easier by opting to go right instead of left from the temple of eiglay SOG. Take the short corridor toward a lift in a tower which takes you directly to the corridor with the 2nd serpent ahead of you and the 1st being directly to your right. saves roughly a minute each run.

I came here to say this exact thing. If you port to this site of grace and you get up facing the altar. Turning to your right will put you in front of the life. Instead turn left, and go thru the small hallway right past the candles. Go through it, turn 45 degrees to your right, and there's a door there with a lift. Get on the lift and it'll take you down to where the room is with the aggressive zombie thing that bites your neck and takes a LOT of HP. Going forward will take you to the bridge where there are two with the sword. Before getting on that bridge, turn 90 degrees to the right and go thru that door. Right at the end of that really small staircase is a third. Rinse and repeat.

Another quick tip for farming: other than the usual silver tear mask, fowl foot, and scarab, you can also equip marikas soreseal/scarseal for an extra arcane boost. Don’t do it if it’s a super tough enemy unless you’ve got the damage output to not worry about the debuff, but with weaker enemies it makes farming a bit faster

The guardian's swordspear should actually be easier to farm from within Leyndell as there are tons of guardians lined up on the big branch leading to Godwyn's boss room. I got one in my current and first playthrough from them

It took me a couple weeks to get magma blades using everything to get arcane up, aside from respec-ing up to 80. I had soooo many shields after I was done farming them. The second one actually dropped without much effort. It was the first one that took forever.

I took down Melania using power stance magma swords (and Tiche, admittedly). But I will say, the Magma Swords are fantastic across the board. 10/10 would recommend. Worth the frarm.

I'm just wrapping up NG+2, I've defeated the Elden Beast and implemented Goldmask's corrections to the Golden Order, which was a first because the previous two times I went with Ranni's Moon Goddess ending. I was about to start NG+3 when I saw the first video and now the second so I have a few weapons I need to collect before I move onwards. Superb video, thanks for detailing these rare gems.

When I went to collect every weapon I had missed in this game I put my arcane all the way up to like 60/70 and went to farm the rarest weapons I could read about, all in all. The magma blades were by far the most crazy low drop rate I experienced, especially because they look so cool powerstanced that getting one to drop isn’t enough, you need 2!

I spent hours farming the monks in Liurnia for the mace. Never had it drop. Still havent get one lol at least dropped for me. A friend gave me the one I was finally able to enjoy. Actually. After I posted this, I remembered that I also had horrid luck trying to get the Thorn Whip as well, which happens to be another weapon from the fire pricks lol well over a millions runes in to levelling off of the one Prelate that can drop it and the Witches around him. Finally had it given to me by the same friend. He got it within an hour or so. Ive had shit luck at farming in the game lol

This is one of those instances where using mods seems reasonable to me. There's mods that will massively raise your discovery chance and alter nothing else. I used when trying to get the big red dress fire prelate armor but had been farming the wrong fire prelate, one who wore the armor but apparently never drops it but I didn't realize that at the time. So I installed the mod and farmed a different fire prelate, the one right before the massive land bridge in land of the fire giants where you can also get the thorn whip. I got it so fast, like within less than a dozen tries. It's an amulet so I can take it off for normal gameplay but when I want to farm I put it back on now. I don't want to waste several hours just to get one item. More power to the people who have the time and patience to do so but now that I've used that discovery boosting mod it's impossible to go back.

The ripple crescent halberd can also be farmed in Liurnia. Im not sure if there are multiple halberd wielding albuanurics but theres at least 1 in the “town”.

For reference. Farmed the Magma Blade to replace my dual magma wyrm swords for my Kratos build. Took about 8hrs between 2 days and I got them both the second day within about 20min of eachother. Had however much arcane the champion starts with (I think 8) and used silver pickled foot.

I think I got a Guardian Sword Spear in the western-center Weeping Peninsula east of the walking mausoleum from a group of enemies near one of the catacombs. Granted this was when the game first came out and before the first patch so I don't know if anything's changed with their drops.

It's actually only got like an 8-10% drop rate, it's not as rare as it seems - but you are rare it is still one of the rarer weapons in the game! I think it just feels so rare because it's so hard to farm because the Watchdog enemies are so evil!!!

For the magma blade I have a quicker method. You still go to the temple grace site but you go to the left and go up the elevator to the top. Now you should send it back down and jump out to save time for your next run. Then kill the screaming grandpa on the left and kill the serpent in front of you. Then turn around and go back to the big room with the elevator and go left to the other serpent. Once they are both dead go back to the grace at the temple and repeat

How does the Monk’s Flameblade not have fire and bleed? It looks like a flamberge, which causes bleed by the oscillating blade design. Maybe some developer snuck this blade in here without anyone knowing because they were so proud of the design, or thought it was so cool they didn’t want to cut it out of the final product. But if they made the weapon awesome and everyone wanted it, the big dawgs at FromSoft would find out immediately. So I guess it’s more of a cosmetic weapon than an actual good for gameplay weapon. Would be really cool if they added bleed and/or fire to it in an upcoming patch. Or even just a unique ash of war that caused fire/bleed. Anything other just just basic spinning slash.

I run the Guardian Swordspear on my faith build, I know it's alittle weird for a faith build, but with a soul level of 150 I can buff it up to 1,114 damage! Forgive me if I'm wrong, but there is also a Flame Munk with white armor at the bottom of the Tower of Caelid just before the Godskin Apostle fight who as well weilds a Flame Munk Sword, does he not have a chance to drop it as well?

Yea it's simply because there are so many of the guardians in any place they spawn at. If you're super low level you can go to the minor erdtree in weeping peninsula and farm them there as well. The church directly to the north of it is only a short run on torrent and I believe there's more of them there too. Honestly it's not even the rarest drop from the guardians. The altered version of the chest piece is much rarer because it only drops from those guardians on the Erdtree branch before golden Godfrey.

So, I didn't know about the Guardian's Swordspear and thought "Damn, need this weapon." So I see I hadn't even gone to that church and gotten the grace yet. I go to the next closest grace and start riding in that direction, and kill two of those guardians along the way. ...I got the swordspear from the second one. I had grabbed a cup of coffee and put on a podcast, ready to grind out this rare drop, and the game just gave it to me! Had to come back and have a laugh over that! :D

Just put in the hours on separate characters it’s much more rewarding in the long run to have 4/5 different builds all at SL 150 If you speedrun varres quest line you can get to SL150 in literally a day by farming the giant bird

The curved great sword is obviously more powerful than the curved sword. You're literally talking about two different weapons classes and comparing them. However they are both duel wieldable so you're right but it's a dumb comparison. The curved sword has faster attack animations so it's actual DPS is similar.

Their flame has been stolen.. which leads me to believe that they are fireless. Which then leads me to believe that their blades would be fireless. Meaning that they never got their fire back. Fire 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
