I feel that only inauthentic people are intimidated by me. I'm pretty easy going so if you see me being aggressive, rest assured the person deserves it. I still feel like crap after an argument.
@Zohar3332 жыл бұрын
Saw a vid on the INFJ Supernova the other day that goes in a little detail about the "why" we feel like crap after an argument and it has a lot to do with the negative emotions we need to take in and process from the other party and how even after winning an argument, we can lose sense of self because we are still parsing the feelings out. There's also a burning desire to be understood at the core of every argument and the feeling that despite winning an argument, if the other person fails to come around the victory feels hollow.

I find a lot of people are intimidated with my authenticity. It scares them away - being on the introverted side, the latter suits me! As far as your question about making me angry; it takes a lot to do that, but if you seriously want to push my buttons, then you best prepare yourself to loose any fight you care to mention, as you will find me not just intimidating, but formidable, with it.

The energy we put off is something that's really prominent in my experiences. Women tend to be drawn to me more easily because of that energy, and men notice it too. Confident men are drawn to me and see me as someone they can trust as well as somebody not like most others (in a good way). Insecure men and women end up being the ones who feel intimidated. Very insecure women will take my authenticity as manipulation or deception. Thankfully I'm good at spotting and avoiding those types of people - not perfect at it, sadly, but close. Quick tangent aside, Idk why exactly, but I feel my energy has become "stronger" with age. Or maybe I'm just better noticing the ways it affects my day-to-day life.

THIS! I’ve never had a long-term loving relationship that’s meaningful with purpose. We’re too deep and intense and it starts off amazing and than the other person can’t handle it anymore. Our aura, spiritual energy, and authentic selves scares people, especially if they’re insecure. FWB has honestly been my peak in relationships at the young ripe age of 35 and it happens a lot. It’s tiring because sex isn’t the end all be all and it’s nothing to brag/boast about. You’re dedicating your precious energy to someone else that doesn’t deserve it so they can get a quick fix at satisfaction and were left empty. You’re correct!!

Recently at work, I was in my "zone" I was hyper focused on my job, then I was told that I had to switch assignments with another employee. I was nearly done with my work, she hadn't even started on hers. I ended up doing 1 1/2 times more work. Then she had the nerve to complain about how busy her day was! I ran into our office, slammed the door and let out a load of obscenities that weren't even in the dictionary. I quickly apologized for it, but I was still written up for it. My first experience with INFJ rage. Nothing g was even said about my coworker sitting and talking while I was doing her job. I actually think that was set up.

I hope you will take time to make mention of gay INFJ males, as well. We exist and certainly have our own stories and experiences. I have so many experiences where I feel like I am intimidating other gay men, when I begin to unfurl, so to speak. That certainly isn’t because I’m a “ladies man”! Just another angle to consider in the kaleidoscopic array of relational dynamics. As a preliminary explanation, I do believe that, at a more fundamental level than sexual orientation, other men can be intimidated by INFJ males (perhaps particularly by assertive types, like myself) because they fear intimacy and have been trained to feel secure in themselves only when they feel they have leverage over the other person in the relational dynamic. Of course, they feel too “seen” for that to be possible with well-adjusted, assertive INFJ males. Weirdly enough, this has been far more of an issue for me with gay males than straight ones. I think part of the reason for this is because straight males subconsciously categorize me as a non-man (some ambiguous category closer to “woman” than “man”), which doesn’t threaten their leverage in their own minds. Because I am this “non-man”, my insights and behavior can be attributed to my nature and eccentricities (which are not “manly” like theirs), more so than a play for dominance or leverage over the other. Maybe almost like an asexual shaman, if that makes sense. Fascinating!

@@Leviathan-jm7lm I am also an INFJ-A. Only about a third of INFJs are, I think. Both of my sisters are INFJ-T’s. I also strive to be as honest and authentic as I can be, and since most people aren’t consciously attending to that, regardless of the context, I think many don’t know what to make of me. I deeply care about making others feel at ease in themselves though, so I always taper my honesty with as much kindness and attempts to meet people where they are as I can. Alas, I have never been in a relationship, at 36. I’ve found that I am far more willing to bear the weight of understanding another person than the other person typically is of me.

Yeesh as an Infj, I’ve been learning to control my temper since a young age.(My specific environment and condition taught me to learn fast and was always pretty chaotic). But due to my condition I always try to make the best out of the time I have in life(no I’m not dying, but pain has its influence) and probably around the age of 17 I had me a small circle of friends but also some acquaintances. I’m really passionate about a lot and love to observe so when I see someone downplaying the potential a person has I get really upset. (Another thing is as the observer I have a really sharp tongue so even though what I say may be true, when I’m angry it can come out more venomous than I intend it to be) The group of friends I have were slandering someone’s art and basically giving their efforts no credit. And while it wasn’t the best I still saw the potential they had so I spoke up to my friends about it. Tempers got heated fast once I understood that they couldn’t think how I did, so when I was slandered more than I liked as well it got bad when I finally unfiltered myself. Needless to say we all hate arguing and sat down for a talk on understanding each other and resolved the issue and cleared up my inability to tolerate situations as such😭plus we know it could’ve been worse

Numerous times I feared my angry side. This video I've seen a lot of videos like this. But this one was really close to being spot on. There's only one thing that it was wrong in presenting. And that is that it doesn't matter what gender you are where this capability with everyone the top notch part of it like being able to intrigue the ladies is the same thing with the men and vice versa some people are intrigued some people think you're mysterious something people think at times that you are timid or insane to all spoken or literally hate them because you haven't said a word to them even know you literally hang out in the same location either every weekend or every day for months on and have never said a word to them just quite frankly we had nothing to say to anything that is not of some actual substance of meaning of purpose in reality as you can tell we don't go out and talk to people about what carpet we just bought for us the person is at the house phone oh where'd you get the carpet at all while we bought it up there quite frankly we can drop a person at the drop of a hat and never look back and still care even though it seems like we don't get us in a room alone and some interesting conversation of something substantial or say the something substantial on the other end of the female agenda would get their attracted if we're attracted to him flirting or whatever our best moments and the easiest way and fastest way to get to know us is alone quality time and if you don't go different places you won't see the full range of capabilities we actually have I'm saying we because this video literally described the nature of my habits sorry about anything that's misspelled or a word that shouldn't belong I'm completely I shouldn't have to say that but you know sapiens

I always had more female friends than male ones growing up, but the few male friends I had were true friends. You want a tale? Here the go. I wouldn't know I was INFJ-A if not for one narcissistic control queen B... I let her fail in the most embarrassing manner possible, while she was using every play in the book to cast a dark light on me. Impireical math be her downfall. Day after day, she made one attempt and another, to call me "lazy." But numbers are real. How dare she afront me without so much as a calculator? I lead her to the stake to burn on the pyre she had built for me, and watched the mental unhinging ensue. Then I questioned, "Why did I do that?" So totally out of character, just wrong to me in some ways. The tube algorithm answered. I took the test. Can you grasp the pain that befell me? This was not the first time I tested infj. Twenty plus years prior I had done the same, and dismissed the result almost entirely. Then came the flood. The ONLY portion of my first test that stood to memory was the two percent. That called recollection. A horrible amalgam of two decades worth of strangely interwoven adjectives, conflicts, accomplishments and isolation. Every box ticked. The entire world had been screaming to me that I am something known, and nearly nonexistent. I don't question these things anymore. If a true infj reads this, keep going. A great many WILL try to tear you down in subverted ways. Respond positively, with logic and righteousness. If at all. Sometimes it's just a cry. Tempt not the child to call, you'll reduce yourself doing so.
