This challenge seems so fun but I’ve come up with some more ideas to make it even harder for the EXTRA HARDCORE PLAYERS like playing with laundry and dust, making the home a haunted house and also just starting with literally nothing. There’s also having every adult family member being in university, having 8 chickens, a llama and a cow and making your sims dislike as many necessary activities as possible and getting them to listen to music they hate

You need to put ice in the fridge to keep it cold when you are off grid. And not all fridges work off grid.

When playing off grid, you can use your mobile phone "at home" by sending your sim to the footpath or street in front of their lot. No need to travel anywhere. And don't forget the ice for the off grid fridge. Great video! Thanks for showing us the lot challenges. 😊

I have a Hostel of Horror Challenge going on in Forgotten Hollow. It was what I changed the Asylum Challenge into. I decided I would play it as the worst possible hostel. These challenges will be perfect for the hell I like to put the Sims in the hostel through. We also have four cowplants I think and a piranha pond a la LilSimsie. The Sims 4 is the best when everything is chaos and going wrong.

You can add ice to off-the-grid fridges to make them stay cooler longer. I absolutely love playing off-the-grid households. Also, if you have a Sim who has a child with the Island Elementals, they get a trait called Sulani Mana. It allows them to summon lava bombs and upgrade plants.

I used the gremlins challenge to help get my sims handiness up really fast, since I have a hard time getting that skill. After two days my sim had level 5

No, you can't put food into the coolers, you can only get a quick meal out of them. And sit on them, and knit on them. And yes, there are fridges that work off grid, you do have to put ice in them to keep them cold.

Gremlins only come out if all your sims are sleep at the same time around 12:00 am and they don't have guests like ghosts on the lot at that time.

I put my new sims in Off the grid, and they're both pretty active so they get some Fun from the punching bag, and trying to get them into gardening because at least that's edible and hoped they'd think it's fun too idk if that works?? Also the billion dogs and cats that come poop on their lawn, they play with them fine lol! That's it for now, everything else is difficult and they hate it there..

As usual, a lot can have up to 3 traits, but it can have ALL the challenges available. In my case, that's up to 9 challenges. No money... That means that you can't start a knitting project, can't paint, can't use the work bench and can't cook. All you can do is explore the area, harvest as many wild plants as you can, plant them, wait for them to bloom, harvest and sell the product. Just hope that you can harvest wild fruits and legumes that you can eat. You also want to dig and search for frogs whenever you can and sell that. A defender light ? HOW ? It won't work off the gird. Yes, Felix Psyded, the only Sim who start dead, or dies during the very first day.

So the takeaway from this is... I'm not going to like lot challenges when I eventually update my game to include Cottage Living and this new "update" since I have the cracked version and won't be getting things as quickly as everyone else. I already had a mod that allowed me to add pretty much any and all lot traits instead of just the 3 you're limited to.
