What kind of struggles do I face as a foreigner (Japanese) living in Singapore? I talked about something small to something serious like feeling stressed when things don't start on time (01:57) and the difficulty to feel content (07:37). What are your thoughts? Feel free to leave your comment below. Huat AH!!

Money never enough. Don't worry about tomorrow, tomorrow will come and go and take care of itself, just be contented.

I really hate people who are consistently late. Some friends are late for more than 1 hr and don’t feel guilty. Urgh. Not all Singaporeans are like that though.

Best thing about having no season in Singapore is you never need to buy 4 sets of clothing 😁😁😁

The contentment part hits hard. It’s true that being contented is hard in sg. It always seems like everyone is better. But there is always the other side of the story. No one will flaunt the sad part of their lives. We tend to imagine or create this image that other ppl live better than us.

I always marvel when you get so much joy out of eating things we take for granted, like muah Chee or economic rice. Your love of life is very contagious and much needed during these times. And as for struggles, we all have different struggles and that adds to the spice of life. And lastly, while it's true that Singapore was under Japan rule during the war, this is the mistakes of the past, and the world have all moved forward, do not take the sad comments to heart.

I’m a full-fledged Singaporean, but I agree with you on the second point. I cannot stand lateness, and even more so when people make excuses for it. I’ve been called out for being uptight by my friends, but that was just how I was raised, hence, punctuality is very important to me.

Ahh, but you have achieved ! You have managed to show Singapore from a foreigner’s perspective and have become one of the most entertaining KZbin channels in Singapore all because you are so down to earth. Grass is not always greener on the other side with high achievers! Don’t stress , just be you! On a side note, very sad to see Bugis St so quiet!

Hi Ghib, as a local, I also don't like it when things don't start on time. I prefer when everyone is punctual, it shows courtesy to all parties :)

For an Indian like me Singapore is still by far one of the best countries with good life. life in India is much harder to the point that nobody even cares about petty problems or (in their point of view) small things like being on time or delivering good customer service or keeping things clean, safe and tidy. All we have to suffer is garbage politicians doing rallies and destroying the people's minds and the growth of this country because of selfish reasons. Singapore is also a very social and friendly place where everybody speaks English and its easy to communicate. People are also simple and direct minded compared to many other countries so it is easy to get to them for things like communication or implying things. I really hope someday my country changes and becomes more livable but right now is really not the time. Anyway thanks for the vlog :D !

In Singapore, if you don't get ahead, you already gone behind. This is called "Kiasu, Kiasi and Kiabor - scared to lose, scared to die and scared of spouse. Schools here also forgotten to teach about manners, except to get ahead, that's why many Singaporeans always late and never shameful nor bother to apologise.

Hi Ghib, about your struggles about being content, I recently saw this quote from a yogi which may help enlighten you a bit. He said something like "You should not be better or worse than anyone else. You must be the best that you can be - that is all.." :)
