I agree with everything except #2 and #7. New pikmin types make new pikmin games distinguishable from other pikmin games. Also, the beautiful calm music of the pikmin games fit the games landscape perfectly. I do agree with more intense music, but I believe it would be better if the intense music is done when things actually happen instead of all the time.

Even if we don’t get new Pikmin we’ve never seen before, I NEED more bulbmin, or the concept of what made bulbmin so unique, and preferably accessible outside of caverns. I think it would be really cool if we had the parasitic Pikmin that can take over and control enemies. Obviously there would need to be some tweaking to keep them from being OP, but it would be cool if maybe they arent immune to every element, but had their own unique immunity (maybe enemies won’t eat them until you order them to attack) that way, you can use them for general enemies, but if there’s an element like water or electricity in the way (maybe some you can’t get rid of) you still need the other Pikmin

Personally, I love all three game types being, collecting ship parts, collecting treasure, and collecting fruit. I wish they could all be combined together somehow without it really feeling like they were just effortlessly thrown together. Like day limit could be set by fruit, exploration limited by ship parts and/or other things, as well as treasure as maybe a way to earn pokos which could be spent on upgrades. Now that last thing, imo, is a great gameplay element, but it wouldn't really fit a Pikmin game that well.

I honestly hope we are able to play at night as a difficulty setting, or even as a story beat. They kept saying how dangerous it is at night, so I want to experience that. Maybe you have to get a part on another side of the level within a night while dealing with an increase of enemies and enemy AI.

I'd love more set pieces, especially if you can get on top of some of them. Imagine getting on top of a grill, avoiding the leaking gas/fire, maybe its for treasures, we could even use that new camera to see more of the map. I'd want day specific bosses, it'd be crazy if something like the smoky progg popped up. It could hold some treasure too, maybe an optional upgrade.

*FUCK CAVES.* Ruined Pikmin 2 for me, I love when Pikmin's time constraint force you to strategize, Pikmin with no time limit is just braindead Pikmin with no rewarding strategy, and no fun. The caves were pretty long, boring, and tedious and it runed the game for me and it's probably why I never finished it. Maybe if they made them into bite sized optional puzzle sections/battle gauntlets (kinda like BotW shrines) instead of pointless grinding corridors that seems to never end I would like them more.

I agree that new Pikmin types shouldn't be the main focus, considering how much more potential the strategy has in the systems *surrounding* the types. I would love if Pikmin 4 took some cues from Kingdom, another great time-management strategy game. Kingdom has extremely simple controls, zero explanatory text outside of the first 30 seconds, and hinges on layers of esoteric systems and intractable objects that the player must experiment with to improve their strategy and make creative decisions. Every action and usage of time has risk and reward. There are strange offering sites in the woods, villagers have little behavioural quirks that you can exploit, and certain combinations of things have hidden synergy. I'd like Pikmin 4 to feature creatures with hidden uses and ways to spook/manipulate them. And I'd like for there to be more objects like the candypop bud where you just toss things in or mess around to see what they do (preferably with minimal text explanations). What if there were semi aggressive ant-like creatures that form an impenetrable conga line when they march, and you have the option to lure them with food to form an ant barrier and briefly block-off a strong monster? Perhaps you can carry the corpse of a waterey creature use as a water balloon bomb or lure a goopy snail to leave a safe trail across electric terrain. Synergies, mysteries, and interactive systems would be able to add new quirks and trade-offs for existing pikmin types and mechanics, while opening the door for so many new ideas.

Caves and Sub levels is a NEED, but I agree not too many of them. I would also like an amped up bulbapedia. Would be awesome to see what the characters have to say about the creatures again. Loved Louie’s logs talking about how to cook the creatures olimar documented

My introduction to the Pikmin franchise was with Pikmin 3 Deluxe back when it came out onto the Switch, it is in my top 10 games for sure and currently I am playing through Pikmin 1 (100%) and then Pikmin 2 for the first time (and then probably Pikmin 3 again) and I jumped out of my seat when Pikmin 4 got announced. I am so hyped for Pikmin 4 and I hope it will be a magnum Opus for Pikmin

I remember seeing pikmin 3 being released for the first time, and I had never heard of the game series until then. It had an absolutely amazing story, great music, incredible bosses, and had a bunch of fun mechanics. The only thing that was disappointing during that time was that co-op was only competitive. The main thing I would really want to see along with all these suggestions (except #2) is maybe a way to have co-op for story mode, maybe four players? Probably would be hard to do, if not impossible, but it could introduce a lot more fun mechanics should it happen.

I've never played a Pikmin game in my life, but I have to say the little Pikmin are really cute. Personally I'mk really excited for the new Fire Emblem game. Get away with 3Houses! thanks to the Pikmin 3 demo on my switch i fell in love with the Pikmin series but the storyline with the fruit collecting I leave mostly all the fruit till after Louie just robs you in the story cause all the fruit you've been collecting will be stolen So after being robbed I revisit places and collect the fruit Also I want to play 1&2 cause of the treasure hunting but the GameCube copies are pricey on eBay ;w; imma just hope either ports or remakes come to the switch

that's about the time I start backtracking to get all the fruit, but it feels frustrating that you can't access all the fruit early on. In Pikmin 1 and 2 by day 4 or 5 you can access every place in the game. In Pikmin 3 you can't go everywhere until day 12-17, which is right at the end of the game. I'm hoping Pikmin 4 does not do what 3 did in terms of that

Yeah um, Fun fact: in the 100 % ending of Pikmin 1 onions with the colors red,blue, yellow, green, orange,purple,pink,black, and light blue flew off. In the pikmin 1 there were only red,blue, and yellow pikmin. The black,pink, and purple onions ended up being rock,purple, and winged pikmin so we r still missing orange, green, and light blue. I also have 3 of my own Pikmin type ideas.

I think that the impact site is a good example of what you want, it is a cheerful song that sounds kinda unsettling due to you crashing on the planet but also, pikmin! EDIT: also I think fusion would be boring, as it would be to OP, as you could make something like a flying purple, or a hybrid of everything, powering up pikmin would be more interesting, as you could have a physical form, a normal form, and an elemental form, eg: yellows could turn into gliding or electric pikmin, some powered up pikmin might be OP, but as balancing, you need 100 of a type to power that type up

Like the old spells, turning stuff to rock or beeing stronger. Make the flowers be spesial. Like in a cave, u get green juice, this makes your pikmin into nature. Can handel better some monsters.

Now I do want more pikmin, but as a compromise if they don't include any new base types I am thinking they might implement the flower type system from Pikmin Bloom. Specific flower types could end up with different abilities/immunities that would expand the colours of Pikmin without running into problems like green pikmin Blending with environments or orange pikmin being confused between red and/or yellow.

I Really hope Nintendo sees all these reviews and acts accordingly, except number two. I agree a lot with the boss difficulty and mayham. Pikmin 3 monsters/bosses barely did anything to the Pikmin, they'd use their attacks and Id lose like 3-4 pikmin. I remember levels in Pikmin two where you accidently set off a time bomb or even monsters that set them off can blow up and make you lose 50-60 pikmin in seconds. That difficulty to the game made it so fun and made it so you had to practice and get things right to make sure you beat the level.

I would agree to bring back caves, but not in the same form that they were in Pikmin 2. Instead I would rather caves act more like how the Formidable Oak did in Pikmin 3, only without a giant boss following you the entire time. Make it so the time limit is still something you need to abide by (something I'm not _entirely_ against how P2 did it, but I think it goes against Pikmin's core design) and have it so any progress you've made on diving deeper into the cave is persistent, maybe if you do subfloors you can select which subfloor to immediately travel to from the entrance. It might be tricky to have it be procedurally generated caves like the ones from Pikmin 2, but I still think it would lead to a much more cohesive experience with the rest of the game instead of each of the caves feeling like their own isolated challenge from the "main game". Hell they could even introduce a "cave run" game mode which can act like a bonafide Pikmin roguelite where you start in a cave with procgen'd levels and Pikmin/enemy placements and try to get to floor 100 or something lol and that wouldn't have to abide by the time limit since it would be separate from the main game mode.

Hear me out, how about a character customization and an upgrades shop? Because if there are treasures then there is money and you can use the money you get from finding treasures to buy upgrades and cool little cosmetics (and maybe a little Pikmin skill tree like auto pluck or dodge whistling). Oh and maybe underwater stages so blue Pikmin can be more useful.

so I have an idea for how the new Pikmin will behave. I think green Pikmin should live in caves like purple and white (this can be a good excuse to bring purples and whites back) but their candy pop buds are even rarer. their limbs are long and skinny. They are immune to nothing, and they aren't strong, and aren't fast, They are the most useless pikmin but if they attach themselves to a small enemy they become immune to every hazard and are stronger but at the price that you can't take them with you orange Pikmin are better diggers then yellows and whites to the point where they make their own tunnels thanks to their claws that they also use their claws to dig into that they're thrown at. they are found in onions. cyans are bioluminescence so they are a light source if they are your light if there isn't a light source and it is pech black also I think cyan and orange should share a onion when found sorry if this too long

I would just like the gameplay and atmosphere to be similar to pikmin 2 without all the trash models pikmin 3 brought. Pikkmin 2 was absolutely the most comfy and adventorous game on gamecube. If it was remade but with bigger maps, more terrain, similar gameplay, more caves, more difficult and more similar monsters and with added depth it would easily be the best game out. Just how the Project 3rd quest for Ocarina almost was.

dude, but come on imagine this, it's chaotic, but in a kinda fun way. I want them to put every pikmin in the story on top of new ones. this wouldn't work out very well with the 100 pikmin limit, so you know what to do with that? Extend it!!! imagine controlling like 500 pikmin, for me I think it would be cool, and I think that the knew pikmin game is going to be way more expansive. Which would continue to make a bigger pikmin limit that much more exciting! btw, I just gotta say, common man, you don't want any new pikmin? new pikmin is like one of the things I look forward to the most when it comes to a new pikmin game, if there are no new pikmin I would feel honestly very sad. Yknow i was thinking about this before, And i thought your idea of "Pikmin fusion" was pretty cool. But something that's been bothering me is the strange addition of different varients of nector in Pikmin bloom. i know that game is well.. not great, but what if they integrated the use of different nectors in Pikmin 4? each one having a different effect on your Pikmin. just wanted to share, and also because i thought it'd be weird for them get rid of the idea of different nector. Your music design argument is made out of Swiss cheese. Your main point is pikmin 3's music, which I admit is more musical than the others, but aside from bossfights the first 2 games are almost the same with mostly ambient tracks. Also, the only part of pikmin that's about "being stranded on an alien planet where everything can kill you" are the bossfights and caves with the occasional wollywog. This is pikmin, not metroid. WHY am I so upset about that.
