comparing between 3Hopes and 3Houses timeskip: edelgard: better hubert: ehh prefer 3Houses timeskip ferdinand: BETTER (3Houses timeskip also a bit fine) caspar: barely different; maybe prefer 3Houses timeskip linhart: barely gave thought but guess this is better when I see it more bernie: not worse but not great (only found her pre-timeskip hair better but love her character) petra: better (but 3Houses timeskip is also good enough) dimitri: better but 3Houses timeskip is also good enough dedue: not worse but liked his scars from 3Houses sylvain: WORSE he was done super dirty :( felix: better (side personal note just wanna say his soul & personality is all sword so the comment that he seems samurai pretty much approves his design) annette: better (but 3Houses timeskip was ok) mercedes: better (but one of the rare people to accept her 3Houses post timeskip) ingrid: barely different; maybe prefer 3Houses timeskip ashe: not too different, perhaps prefer 3Houses timeskip claude: not worse but WHERES THE GOATEE?! :( hilda: not super different but maybe prefer this one ignatz: doesnt look so different but maybe prefer this one lorenz: not worse but i feel like longer hair from 3Houses timeskip suits him better leonie: a little worse, not too much lysithea: didnt like it first but guess its alright; still prefer 3Houses more marianne: i wanna say better but I think she slays both hairstyles :) raphael: barely see the difference ha, both seem fine

Valid opinion. The games following crystal were all you are the chosen one… catch this, listen to that. I want a game where you can experience everything at your own pace, if I want to wait to challenge giovanni until he has a level 80 nidoking whats the diff?

After playing both SIMULTANEOUSLY, I personally like Crystal more. ONLY because it was easier to abuse glitches or game mechanics. I.E. duplications, so I had way better moves on my Pokémon constantly by duplicating TMs

Not just the slice of life, but the exploration. Tyrogue is at the front of Mt. Mortar now, and there’s a shrine at the bottom of Whirl Islands. Ho-oh I could accept as a plot encounter, but not Lugia.

The farfetched sound puzzle is just so easy and such a nothing thing, I don't see how its any harder, its a kids puzzle in both games that takes like 5 seconds

i know its two years later but i completely agree with the edelgard design being ooc. i feel like its notable how little skin she shows in either houses design compared to in hopes

Its easy to explain. Pikmin 3 was the pikmin that instead of adding more without removing past lore, added things but commited the sin of erasing previous types of pikmin, veteran enemies, and caves. Motion controls and graphics were good tho. Thankgully pikmin 4 fixed this although it has some minor flaws too. Either way pilmin 2 and 4 are my faves

As for the music, at least it kept a good chunk of the soundtrack in the original key. They didn’t conjure the worst possible, ear grating arrangements they could on the console, ruining the songs entirely. Would really be a shame if there was a set of remakes that did that.

The chosen one subplot is a very tiny percentage of the overall story. It’s like if they made one of the legendary bird dungeons mandatory in Gen 1 and then things resumed as normal. This is the definition of a non issue that does not come close to messing with the original Gen 2’s vibe in any meaningful way. Insert Donkey Kong “HE WAS RIGHT!” meme here. I joke, laughing was harsh and I’m sorry that happened

Im honestly the same way too, I just like the feel of Crystal 🔮 than HGSS, grew up with Crystal more than those remakes.
