Little house on the prairie 😂 I dated a thug style man and a hippie, both loved my “old fashioned Mormon dress” hahahaha! I’m not Mormon but Mr. thuggy said I looked so pretty in my “Mormon dress”, it was very frilly, lots of flowers, long sleeve, not tight and not sexy at all. Lol!!

I have heard this a lot from wives of men who are the type of men who work in engineering/IT/computers/accounting. These men will often mask before marriage and pretend to be more masculine and more provider/protector than they really are. Then after marriage, they drop the mask, because they feel comfortable that they “have her” and she’s not going anywhere. This leaves the woman wondering what happened to the man who was attentive to her before the commitment. It’s often not a low testosterone issue, but he should be checked for that just to rule it out. It’s usually a neurological/ behavioral disorder with this type of man. As he goes into a less masculine role because it’s not his natural baseline, she must assume it, as well as try to maintain her own feminine role. Sad to say, but often the usual techniques to get him to go back to his former masculine role are not effective, as he doesn’t want to have to put forth the energy to mask again. They can’t maintain the mask long term, at least not at home, especially when they have to mask when at work or outside the home, as it’s exhausting for them to have to pretend to be what they are not. Make sense?

Thank you ladies, excellent content! I find it difficult not to micromanage my partner's food choices since he is having health issues that impact us both and I sincerely worry about his future. His "health strategy" is to jut live in status quo, not changing anything and not even scheduling a medical visit... I must admit I pressured him into going to a doctor and it took several ugly fights to get him to make a blood test and visit a doctor. I am not proud of myself but "talking" just didn't work. I felt it actually damaged our relationship but on the other hand nothing else worked for months. How can we correctly manage this kind of situations?
