IGN stated Smite 2 will have "improved matchmaking" I hope that's true because yesterday I a diamond player got put into a masters game thats about 2700. My mmr is 1900. And I had a GOLD Support who's 1700. I lost and I'm not the reason why I lost.

I've been reading patch notes for years and many, many times they've mentioned improved matchmaking. Never once have I noticed much of a difference. That's not to say it's gotten worse either, it just seems the same as always.

The only thing I want is customs with as many things I can control as possible. I want to be able to ban gods, items,and specific abilities for one or both teams also be able to set levels or level caps for each team. With a robust enough customs editor some really cool and wacky stuff could be made by the community.

Duel GM Player here. I can garantee that most GM/Master players don't actually play tryhard, once we get there we chill with random picks. It's the casuals that tryhard their brains out, so making a Duel Casual gamemode wouldn't fix that problem, only thing it'd do is make the player base for duel split, and I don't think that's a good idea. Maybe wrong tho. Cool video!!

They just need draft pick in casual conquest. Don't need bans, and new gods can be picked by both teams. Mirror matches suck fucking balls and shouldn't be a thing in conquest and some characters you can't blind pick. "I wanna play Guan yu, oh shit it's hades solo I might as well alt f4 my game because I won't be able to do shit for the next 20 mins

I just hope they don't forget about assault. After almost 2000 hours in this game I see myself wanting to just play assault most of the time, conquest became more boring to me (even tho I still play it) and assault is just so fun

I would love it if they made an actual clan mode where you can play conquest with only ur clan vs other clans 5v5. They could call it clan weekends or something where if your in the top whatever percent of clan wins your whole clan gets gems at the end of the weekend or something along those lines and do it once a month or more. This would be a good reason for some people to get more friends to play the game with you since you can't queue ranked with all your friends. I have multiple friends who's main reason for not playing smite is that we can't all play ranked together

1. I would give up all my Legacy Gems to have X-Calibur King Arthur in Smite 2 2. Part of the biggest reason I don't play duel is the ranked only. I want to mess around and play my main, the aforementioned King Arthur, who is notoriously bad in duel. 3. I would pay more for customization. The colorforge stuff was a step in the right direction, but it was weird to have the colors be unlockables as well, which was a takeaway from the customizability of the skins. 5. I only have 1 tier 5. Cthulhu. I love it. In hindsight, it wasn't worth the money, but I am still happy I own it. I'll be sad to see it go. 6. I have never played with clans. I started playing after they became meaningless. I am indifferent on this one. 7. YES. I want way more focus on impactful passives than stats. Usually, metas are based around stats. Every hunter builds the same unless they do well with cooldown. I don't WANT to build Devo's every game, but if I don't, I can't 1v1 the enemy ADC. Another thing is reducing the amount of items that just have the passive 'on hit, do more dmg'. Since most characters have 3-4 damaging abilities, those items get built on pretty much everyone. We don't have an item that activates upon using a stim or movement ability. Those would be cool niche pickups. Stone of Binding is a great example of ALMOST good. Most of the roster has at least one CC, so it's a pretty free damage boost if you want prots. Removal of Jotun's and Breastplate would be good IMO because they are either good because stats or bad because stats and it's boring either way. Pridwen is the same CDR, but it does something interesting. 8. Yep. I am really tired of duo queuing with my friends in Joust and our random loses us the game by dying 5 times in 5 minutes. P.S. BRING BACK HYBRID ITEMS, YOU COWARDS!

One thing I wish they would do, even in Smite 1 is bring back the old Clash map, but as a 4v4, like how they were testing with Slash. A lot of the backlash I saw, and had myself, about the temporary 4v4 change to Slash was the map was a bit too big, much like Siege was. If you had somebody trying to be a jungler, you would always be down a man in the lanes. if they tried it with the old Clash map, being much smaller, it might actually work well, even though the jungles in Clash were basically non-existant

They need to bring back the retired 1v1 MotD options. There was one where you had tons of gold and a random god. There was another where there were bans and then you and your opponent picked each other's god. It was usually guardian vs guardian (or Ravana, who was terrible back then). Occasionally someone didn't read the description and gave you something good because they thought they'd be playing it. They were both lots of fun and when MotD was one of them I usually just queued that all day.

clans was cool up till season 5ish i hope they can do a reward system that rewards the players and has incentives for playing with clan members and getting unique and exclusive rewards that only your clan can get like a rotating skin shop that would cost clan points which you get by playing with clan members!

My biggest thing would be better matchmaking. Admittedly, I play casuals. Still, most of my games are stomps in one direction or the other. It truly feels like the computer is blindfolded and throwing darts to assemble teams. Next would be related to that: more effective punishments for ragequits (part of that makes sense, for a decade-old game they don't want to alienate any part of a customer base... except that actually does alienate the other players).

With the new item system I would suggest you should add items that give more build diversity for all classes. Like if I wanna play a traditionally ability based assassin in an attack speed build, I should have the items to do so with few penalties outside of the kit of the assassin in question as an example.

All great changes, particularly the increasing build diversity and more unique god design ones - I'd also add in a similar one to your 2v2 and casual duel modes, I'd love a mode with no lanes that's exclusively jungle-based, maybe 2 or 3 people per team. Could feel super unique, almost like a shooter where vision control and awareness becomes super important.

I agree that they should rotate the game modes and keep the main 3 but joust has to be one of the 3…. It’s the only mode you can play with 3 people in your party.. if you have 4 you can suck it up and play conq and just carry the solo but 3 happens so often and it makes it impossible to queue into something fun if you keep getting trash teammates in conq.. and no one wants to queue into arena.. that god forsaken game mode….. 😂

1: There definitely NEEEDS to be proper additions for console players. We need full keybind customization (you can keep the basic casting styles as basic tutorial systems for new players) but we definitely need to swap button layouts around especially with the new interaction button. 2: proper ui customisation especially for console players, i still prefer the classic ui but also want to fully customize it rather than just the map. Additionaly full store ui customisation, want the classic console store hud but want a different ui scheme? Go for it. 3: just let me turn off skins mid game for both teams i don't want to see these crazy effects or loud noises that i cant control. Just make it a simple button press like a mute option (same can be said for voice packs).

Ability to turn off skins. I'm tired of the ability clutter and sometimes guessing what skin being used is your own teammates. I've become so accustomed to running away from red vfx that I just had a loki Halloween skin on my team and ran away from my own teams poison pool because I thought it was an enemies

I don't think we'll get unique item effects. The problem with 'every god can build every item' is that you can't really have niche items because balancing will be a bigger issue. I know we'll lose a lot of effects because having certain items on certain gods will be a nightmare. I don't expect any Haste effect unless its the mage one where it can only proc every so often because giving Haste to a hunter will be a huge issue, so certain assassins and warriors are going to take a hit. I just don't see how certain effects can be in the game with everyone having access to them.

Ive always wanted a music themed god that's entire kit was based around a rhythm game. Where if you use an ability on time it would have additional effects. and auto attacks would hit harder if they were on time too. I'd always wondered if hirez was limited by ue3 to make something like this.

With the new interact button a person could walk up to bot in fountain use interact and bot would follow till death or another person interacts. Also with clan revamp all gods should have shadow skins.

1. Disagree with 1. Dont port any skins over. You paid for a skin for Smite 1, not Smite 2. If you buy a skin in CoD, it wont transfer to the bew CoD. Microtransactions only apply to the games or services they are purchased for. This is what we call the sunk cost fallacy. You dumped your money to support a game and the reward is a cosmetic. Once the game shuts down, expect those to be gone forever. Dont use Overwatch 2 as an example because the game is practically the same graphics, engine, and gameplay wise, without the promised PvE mode. All you got was a skin port. What a let down. 2. Niche items wont work with the new system for everyone building anything. The reason niche works in Smite 1 is due to the item restrictions. Now we have the ability to create super unique builds. The problem I have with Smite 1 is paaaives are WAAAY too strong or bloated, and every tier-3 has a passive. They should avoid this and make passives a tradeoff on items. Items with passives should have mediocre stats. That way, focus can be put on interesting god designs ans interactions, rather than letting items carry the gods. 3. Clans would be fantastic if SMITE 2 adds a system to easily find, spotlight, or search for clans. Like having a clans specialized for certain gamemodes, or giving clan themes. Imagine that if you were in a clan, you could all syncronous dance or emote. Give an incentive for people to come together as a community than a stupid clan tag and a reskin for some gods. 4. Casual duel would either be the most toxic gamemode or the most novelty in SMITE history. I find that casual conquest is more toxic than ranked, simply because there are no stakes and people are more likely to DC, troll, or be rude. Depends on how gods perform in most 1v1 scenarios and the overall playerbase. 5. Custom skins are a fantastic idea, my only concern is monetization. Have it so you can have a base skin, and maybe some core elements of the character changed, like replacing Anhur's spears with missiles, or changing Arthur's Sword, or adding cool effects to abilities. Really play into the customization and VFX options of UE5 without it getting too fancy.

Honestly, I hate how Hekate turned out. her abilities look extremely generic, yes, plus I really dislike her visuals, doesn't look like Hekate at all. They could've made three stances or something since she's a triple goddess or made something witchy about her. It would be better if they release 2-3 gods a year but really take their time with them to make them unique instead of releasing more gods that are lacking. Quality over quantity.

There is two major reasons ranked duel has the smallest player base in the game. 1 being the fact it's the most unbalanced mode in the game. The other being there is literally no way to actually practice duel casually without custom matches. Duel requires completely different building and play style then playing with a team. Ranked duel will never grow if there isn't a legitimate way to practice it without having to worry about your rank.

Asia (SEA) server. Why only gatekeep the game for half of the world population? SEA server was great, while it's not as populated as NA and EU it will boost the player count. The decision to remove SEA server and keep Japan server is just brain dead.

1: DROP THE “2” FROM SMITE 2 and just leave it as Smite. 2: (along with 1) PROMOTE! ADVERTISE! PROMOTE! 3: Release around 40-50 BEFORE the beta comes out (I know it’s too late for the alpha). 4: Fix the ranked system. Minimum level should be raised to play in ranked. 5: fix the MMR system also. 6: actually pay attention to reported players/have a human review reported players. Should not have to play with a troll for 7 games because reporting does nothing. 7: continue with more collaborations.

Hell no smite 1 skins are old and ugly and ruin immersion... they should not even be importing the immersion breaking and childish cringe skins they made in smite 1. Many of them look embarassing and goofy they ruining smite 2 art theme already.

Most of old SMITE skins are plain bad, and unbearable to hear with voice packs, especially if they come for god that had some visual lift, but the lift only touches base and future models and old skins are still previous model. I'm all for skins like Old Wa, where this is simple yet great skin showing old god look in modern version, that's one of the best skins for me tbh.

Modular cosmetics would be good for BASE SKINS, not exclusive to new skins. Far better for individuals to customize their own gods than waiting for skins that are kinda mediocre. Like Thanatos and Medusa having different masks, Ra with different bird heads, Ymir with new horns and clubs, or even Bellona with different shields and swords Also, smite 2 needs to spread skin releases EVENLY. Not adding 17 fkn anubis skins in one year whilst artio is lucky to get 2.
