Does it pay to install commerce centers on mining and resort stations or do other factions only buy at space ports?

Regarding capturing the Hive ship. My max fleet strength is about 15k, and I have hive ships everywhere on my periphery causing much displeasure. Is there anything I can do or must I just tolerate it til later in the game? I was thinking a bunch of cruisers kitted only with Ion to take down shields and boarding parties. But I'm not sure if we can even scratch it.

You need to damage the shield, yes. But it has a good recharge on those so you need some firepower. Not sure if 15k will be enough but i bet will be fun to try. I would suggest 2 fleets if possible. Then again.. you can save and load and improve your strategy

Can you give us some tips how to organize fleets for a hard war ? Against harder AIs a war just gets so chaotic, he attacks with many fleets everywhere hit and run style, my defense fleets try to defend some other nearby locations and leave their system just to see an invasion fleet sneak in and invade my planets.. its such a clusterf*** since there is no way to intercept and kill a fleet in warp... And local defenses or fleets in every system wont work when u got a lot of planets. Even with overall way stronger forces i often lose so much stuff and cant ever force a fight when the AI fleets keep dodging and hit and run... it really makes me lose the fun in the game :/

Try not to get surrounded by enemies. Either have your teritory (systems) at the edge of the map or have some friends next to the border. This way you wont be attacked from all sides. Don't go to war with everyone at the same time. Have your fleets at the rdge of your territory. Have better planetary defence at the edge of your teritory
