You don't need to give thirty days notice when someone is actively and deliberately damaging your home or your property. Literally just document the room covered in feces and you could have her out by the end of the day, and probably institutionalized.

That story annoyed me so much. Like this woman was being tormented to where she cried herself to sleep every night? Anyone threaten to make the next 30 days hell for me would regret saying that lol I would rub her face in her own feces and move her garbage mess to her room. Also taking photos/videos for evidence to show the landlord. If she got physical that’s when you can get her back in self defence and call the police 🤷🏻♀️

It's as if these people can't see anything and cling onto anybody because they can't stand their own company. Or they need an audience to function. C19 exposed this in a number of people during the lockdowns. Some people I had known for years became very nasty and no longer friends. Reminds me of my former best friend and roommate. Despite my username, I am a woman. I had been friends with this girl since kindergarten and it wasn't until we lived together during our college years that I realized how possessive and controlling she was. Once, I had my ex over when I was dating the guy. She waited til I was in the shower to go behind my back and tell the guy that I'd be bored with him within the next few weeks and I'd just leave him like I did with everyone. That wasn't my MO at all, in fact, most of my previous relationships had lasted years. Her reasoning was because she thought the guy and I were getting serious and she was afraid I'd want to move in with him. Mind you, we lived with her boyfriend. She cried when I told her that I wasn't going to follow her around and live with her and her boyfriend for the rest of our lives. Any time I mentioned wanting to move out on my own, she'd threaten suicide. That's not even the worst of it. When I brought my now husband over for the first time, she decided that while him and I watched a movie in the living room together, that she needed to sweep the floor wearing nothing but a robe. She then "accidentally" fell over the arm of the couch and into his lap, letting the robe open and just giggled as she lay naked in his lap. I shoved her to the floor, and apologized to him because he was clearly extremely uncomfortable. We hung out at his place from then on until I moved in with him. She then sent me all these long messages about how I was a horrible friend for abandoning her. Again, she lived with her boyfriend, so she wasn't even alone. I tried to be her friend again several years later, but laid out very specific boundaries she constantly tried to find loopholes for. I had to stop talking to her for good because she constantly threatened suicide to gain control over me. She literally got mad at me for not letting her plan my entire wedding. She acted like I was getting married to her. Super weird, I'm so glad I've moved on from this toxic friendship.

My co-workers always found other things to be busy with when they saw hr, so I would be left to deal with her. I treat all customers the same, just as I would like people to treat my loved ones, so I was polite and kind to her always. After a while, she came in and apologized for being so brusque and angry. Her husband passed away and seemed as if she felt a bit relieved. This woman was basically watching her husband die, and we never knew what others were going through. There is no valid reason why the roommate should’ve left the vicious dogs without taking precautions. The roommate knew the dogs were dangerous. The writer could’ve easily been dead at that point. The writer has to deal with trauma from the lasting effects of the actions. The writer should’ve sued.

Not true about dogs. Just like humans dogs can have psychological issues with no cause by environment. When I was younger my family got a dog. An Australian shepherd. We got her as a puppy not that old but not baby. I cared for her, fed her, played with her. I never hit kicked or did anything of the sort and neither did my family. One day it was like a switch flipped and she became incredibly aggressive to me. Everyday her hatred for me kept growing. It got to the point where my family had to put a muzzle on her and hold her so I could walk out the door to go to school. Then one day while I was at school she was getting aggressive so my mom had to put the muzzle on her. Somehow she smashed the muzzle and tried to kill my mom. A bit before and during this we were having a professional dog trainer work with her. She stayed with him twice the latter was a little before she attacked my mom. After the second time the trainer told us there was nothing he could do. Apparently it's common in that breed and others but sometimes they just have major temperament issues. She was just a born psycho. (This got way too long but i havent got to vent this trauma for years). We found out later her mom has several of the same issues as well but not to the level this dog had.

That first one... I used to suffer from night terrors, and used to sleep walk. And according to my family, when I was young, it was... Bad. If I wasn't screaming my head off like I was being murdered, it was possible for me to leave the house and walk out into the street. My grandmother used to put chairs in front of the door when I stayed at her place, but I would just move them. So then came the bells. Like above a convenience store. My family put bells above doors before my parents got an alarm system that would go off when I left. My father would have to chase child-me down the street. I never was allowed to have sleepovers, or go to someone's place for sleepovers. I thought for sure as I got older, I didn't get terrors or sleepwalk anymore (I'd been living on my own since sixteen--long story, not worth getting into), and I had a friend stay over when I was nineteen. I didn't warn my friend, because I thought I was good now. But I had a night terror, and was screaming blood murder. My friend booked it down the hall as he was sleeping on my couch. He shook me until I woke up. I was like, "WHAT!? WHAT?!" And he had to tell me everything. I'm now married, and still have the occasional night terror, or sleep-walking episode. My husband gets up and checks on me after a minute if I wander off. He's a light-sleeper, so he notices pretty quickly when I'm not back in bed and will come and check on me, even if I'm just going to the kitchen for a glass of water. I've heard some pretty scary stories about sleep walkers.

Have you spoken to a psychiatrist about these issues? There may be a medication out there that could help you!

@@voidbreather7405 I have before, but apparently it's just apart of CPTSD. Therapy will help apparently, so I've been doing DBT.

Glad I never had a roommate besides family members. But even then that can be bad sometimes!

Surely not as bad as the girl from Craigslist... I would've have recorded her "activities", change the locks and not let the methhead in anymore - after all, did the op sign any legal papers? If yes, move out for the duration it takes time to evict that beach. The op was a man I believe, few punches to the face should calm her down.

Yeah well unfortunately if you don't have a lot of money or any place to go at the moment, it's the only option other than being homeless, not like it's someone's CHOICE to live with strangers. Enjoy your perfect life.

@@belladonnahigh9206 I would have slept in my car if I had to, rather than sleep in the same house with the psycho!! No, my family member wasn't as bad, but she was scary. She was an alcoholic and abused pills. I became afraid of her. I haven't seen her in about 15 years.

Well, roomates are almost always a bad idea, and if not, a person in your flat or house will still bother you with this or that, its just not worth it, all the stress. Remember, you came alone in to this world, equally, you will leave this world on your own, alone ...

To the guy who got attacked by dogs, you did the right thing and I am sorry you no longer like dogs. If you ever want to try again with dogs get a small dog like maybe a Bassett Hound or smaller. Also, I think your buddy trained those dogs to be aggressive, most German Shepherds are friendly. He is lucky that it was you that got bit because if those dogs got loose and they attacked and killed a person or another pet he would have been sued or served jail time. Like you said the dogs are not at fault, I blame the owners for how they were trained/raised. Hope they're never allowed any animals again.

I'm surprised the last person didn't go ham on messing with the roommate back. Like dumping all her liquid items/food. I guess it could have just made everything worse, though I'm not sure how much worse it could have gotten tbh.

That poor sleepingwalking dude. Could you imagine waking up to that and realising what trauma you just inflicted on someone. Im sure they likely sought help but the embarrassment and fear would follow you for decades. It would affect their ability to have relationships or a family. Poor guy. And poor OP.

Be there for someone going through drug addiction, like by calling a swat team down on them. Sometimes they just need to know you care.

If Dove had been my roommate she'd have been kicked out the first time. I don't tolerate that crap. Also with those dogs and that one roommate. It's absolutely his fault the dogs are like that. Disgusting that people actually mold their dogs to be vicious monsters.
