The first story: I have friends and relatives that own small businesses, and starting out, they utilized Facebook marketplace. They ALL said they would often field inquiries from “mothers of sick kids”, it’s like a common ruse for scam artists. Another scam (and potentially dangerous one) to watch out for is having a buyer agree to buying what you’re selling at your asking price, and the day you set up to meet, they call right before the meeting saying their car broke down and ask you to meet somewhere else, mostly in a desolate area.

PSA *some* McDonald coffee machines have roaches and flies that they don’t bother to remove while making you coffee as well as their manual soda machines. The automated ones used for self serve are closer to clean 😊

I took pictures of literally everything (his plates, his house, his face) and recorded going up there and sent clips to my friends as we pulled up. It wasnt too far out of town but it was foggy af and looked like it shouldve been. My dads pretty experienced with fb market so i trusted his judgement on whose offer to accept
