You forgot the weird bi-phobia. "You have twice the opportunity to cheat" "You need to just pick a side" "I guess you were tired of men and decided to give women a shot, eh?" And on and on and on. When I accepted being bi I went to the LGBT community for some acceptance and affection because I was still in the closet and got some nasty backhanded meaness instead. It's worse for bi men. Our community can be great and inclusive, or just so painful.

Phantastic Yeah, as a pan individual, I appreciate you reaching out. xD Lesbians Have... an interesting attitude toward me, most of the time. I’m transmale pansexual, but haven’t made alterations to my body and prefer to dress gender neutral, as I’m not a super macho guy, so. Some women into women have been like, “oh, you’re a pretty girl,” and... explaining “well, back at you, but I’m actually only one of those things” is awkward. Straight guys want me to stay the way I am, and lesbian women seem to feel the same, and gay men / straight women are disappointed because apparently even if I do change my body, not being cismale means I’ll never be masculine enough for them. I’m basically limited to dating other pansexual trans people, with maybe a rare genderqueer bisexual or asexual panromantic woman thrown in there. I will say that lesbians are always more respectful of my gender identity than ... any cismen, though.

It's because a ton of people think that bi means that you don't know your sexuality and believe that once you are in a relationship that you have decided. The one about fetishizing trans people hit home. I think it’s because everyone expects getting medically transitioned should be the goal. No. The goal is to overcome your gender dysphoria, with or without medical transition (hormones, surgery, etc) Hormones are not a magical cure to the pain within. Surgery will not remove the suffering in your head. I can only share my experience, so here it is: My only goal in life used to be medical transition. I would stare at myself in the mirror and pick myself apart. What part of me was too masculine, to hairy, to this to that. I caked makeup on my face everyday, all I wanted was to “pass”. I was miserable, but I held on to hope because I was watching all these rich, famous transgender KZbinrs and actors buy themselves new faces and bodies and they took estrogen and got so pretty and they looked so happy. Then I became a healthier person, and I realized I’d never be happy unless I changed my insides. I learned to love myself and my body. I learned to accept all my flaws and accept that my sex is, was, and always will be male. Just not my gender. For some reason I was just born with a feminine spirit in the vessel of a male. Now that I am healthy, I know that medically transition isn’t necessary to be happy. Of course, if I wanted to do I still could. Fellow trans people, learn to love yourself and accept yourself as you are now first. Then, if you still feel like medical transition is for you, go forward. There’s nothing wrong with it, after all. It’s a miracle of modern medicine! Spread the word !

I don’t understand transgender, is it just gender stereotyping? It doesn’t matter what body part you were born with, your passions, behavior, and choice of clothing has nothing to do with gender. You can do any of those without changing your gender
@lionberryofskyclan
@lionberryofskyclan 3 жыл бұрын
@@kerronh2060 no, it is a very, VERY strong feeling of not being the right gender. Some may choose to transition with surgery, or with hormones. And some may just dress up (like you were saying) in clothes typically for another gender. It isn’t not wanting to conform to gender stereotypes (if I sound harsh I do not mean to, reading this makes me sound harsh idk)

Number 5 is especially hard for lesbians or women who prefer other women. Given how girls are generally raised to be a lot more affectionate with close friends and how things like sharing food, sharing clothes, going out on one-on-one outings, hell even some cases platonic kissing like on the cheeks is super common and it's near impossible to tell if anothet girl is directly hitting on you or seeing you as a super close friend Looking back, I cant count how many times I've cuddled platonicly or even borrowed a bra from multiple times with a close friend (who's still just a friend) and thought nothing of it other than "oh wow my best friend and I are so cool and fun".

Hugin Incorrect. There are cultures, and civilizations, such as the Ancient Greeks, that idolized and almost worshipped gay men. Male affection was pretty common- hence wrestling in the nude during training for/during the Olympics.Could you imagine two male friends wrestling naked together today, lathered in olive oil? Of course not. Is male affection not hardwired in men? Of course not. It’s just not taught or found to be “normal”. Could men later on show physical and emotional affection like women do today? Yes. I don’t know how much you know about society and the effects of nature and nurture, but A LARGE, LARGE number of our societal preferences and normalities are learned. This is a fact. You can research more on this if you like.

I've been through that, and I can tell you, it's pretty annoying when people assume you're into them when you're not - and worse, when your friendship is altered because they still think you secretly want to have sex with them when you explicitely told them otherwise.

believing in these "sjws" and distancing yourself from the community just because of that can be so harmful, honestly- the whole concept itself feels like it's perpetuating this subtle self-hate that restrains you from being you or acting too "special" or "flamboyant" because you're scared of being one of those "attention-whoring sjws". do yourself a favor and stop giving a shit, it did me a lot of good personally, tbh

I recently came out as pansexual to my mother, and she didn’t know what to say. It got awkward, and then she said I’ve always been a curious person. “So I don’t really think you’re pansexual, I think you may just be curious.” She said she still accepted me, and I can love whoever I want. But it still hurt, this isn’t a phase of curiosity. I see love as falling for someone’s personality, mind, and intelligence not appearance or gender. I’ve had feelings for both genders, but not all women and not all men. Just some who have had amazing personalities. I wish she could understand

9. Religion problems Chances are you've felt extrinsic or intrinsic pressure from your church to pray away the gay or lock yourself in the closet. You might have felt pressure to abandon your faith as well, which causes a lot of confusion and fear. Alternatively, religion (mainly Christianity) might be a trauma trigger or something you're staunchly against for other reasons.

@@grayblackhelm9761 This is the point generalised. Just think about it in more detail briefly. For starters, you could think about how one of the biggest problems would be family. Being raised in a religious family would not be easy when the religion in question condemns these type of people, which is them exemplified by a strong believing religious family who you wouldn't know whether or not they'd reject you. Another scenario is: What about personal beliefs? Say you've been raised in a particular religion and have come to wholeheartedly agree with it and follow it as you would. Then, all of a sudden, you get these feelings/urges growing up. This ends up causing conflict between the belief in your religion and who you are. Since most people 'find' themselves whilst growing up (around teenage years), it creates even more stress as theres the issue with changing personality, self discovery, hormones, etc. You'd feel like you're left with two decisions: 1) Restrain yourself but as a result live unhappy hiding who you are. 2) Embrace who you are but break the rules of your religion, for which you have so much faith in. Vika already said some detail about another scenario but yeah, just think about it in more detail. Saying a short point which *seems* not all that bad will make you think it's not a problem, when in reality it runs much deeper and is more difficult.

Afonso Martins - actually - back when parents used to send children in to have lobotomies if they suspected the child was gay or effeminate - in which a doctor would shove a hot poker violently into the skull of a child through their eye , mess up their brain permanently , and let them loose into a house and world that would still fear them forever - they DID diagnose people with something called Gender Disphoria . Well done ! Unfortunately , that diagnosis has been referred to as " incredibly harmful " by " qualified psychologists and doctors " in the modern era , as the people diagnosed with it - aren't actually suffering from anything . When people try to " cure " it , it usually involves teaching a child to hate themselves and become afraid of existing as a person . Often , the victims will spiral into depression among other wonderful things I'm sure you'd love for me to describe in detail . so as a bit of an expert on the matter - leave us alone u w o
@penguinpinata

Kerosin - it is almost by definition transphobic to cut anyone out because you don't understand them , genderfluid people included . That's the whole reason we're alienated in the first place : by being someone who someone else doesn't understand . We're in this together - period . Genderfluidity is caused by shifts in brain activity which in other individuals are often set in stone . It is just as valid as whatever gender you , I , or anyone else you know is feeling right now . Also , although I'm not genderfluid , I am nonbinary - and I happen to actually be a big fan of the democratic process . And because you dragged it out - I now have to mention : how we were born doesn't change what either of us say . :P

I think you missed internalized homophobia. Some gay people also don't like the idea of being gay at all and will choose not to even if they find a compatible partner they could love or see themselves loving. Here's some other stuff I've seen: - biphobia, panphobia, demiphobia, aphobia, etc (I don't know if I spelt those right) - people saying they're attracted to one gender but won't date them if they're a different sexuality (like some lesbians refusing to date bi girls) - stereotypes, even within the LGBT+ community (like lesbians stereotyping gays)

Merp that's cause, as a trans bi dude, I can confirm those aren't real. Science proofs there's only 2 genders illimentating pan, and demi is just being choosy, and asexual is a hormone imbalance, it is not normal to not feel sexual attraction and those people need to see a doctor, or realize that they don't feel attraction yet because they are 12
@marissa7085
@marissa7085 6 жыл бұрын
axel m First of all, you can't confirm anything if you have not experienced it. Saying you're a trans bi dude literally confirms nothing. You are not asexual or demisexual and have probably never spoken to anyone that is about it. I'm a demi lesbian so allow me, someone that is demisexual, to explain. Aexuality, demisexuality, and so on are very real. You can tell because there are asexual and demisexual people. It is completely normal for someone to not feel sexual attraction, because a lot of people are asexual. Not all humans and animals feel the need to have sex. Being attracted to someone, being able to feel sexual pleasure, and wanting to have sex are three very different things. Sexual attraction is a scale. Asexuals just happen to be on the low end of it. You should understand that not everyone has the exact same way of balancing hormones. Maybe you should do more research besides biased aphobic science articles. Maybe talk to an actual asexual adult, there's quite a few of them. As a demisexual person, I can confirm that I am actually unable to feel attraction to people unless I feel close to them. Seriously. I've only felt attracted to my close friends and no one else. You're literally proving my point.

ArmpitSchmarmpit Well, they were just examples. Considering I am a lesbian, I don't have anything against them lol I mean not wanting to date them because "they won't pick a side" or "they don't want to date someone that's touched a guy" or whatever other stupid reason. And I meant in general people only wanting to date people of the same sexuality... And stereotyping them like "the gay best friend" or "you know fashion because you're gay", etc

(Also lots of people I live around would actually thing that a guy and another guy dating is cuter that two girls dating). When you can love more than one gender, there are a lot of other problems, too. For example, you don't have to be out of the closet to date some openly, so you get hesitant to date someone who doesn't have the opposite gender. Or when people assume you never loved them, just because you started dating someone with a different gender from them. Or when people who don't fell attracted to your gender get kind of cautious around you because they don't know wether you'd fall for them (which isn't a problem exclusively for us, I guess). Or - which I think is the worst, actually - when you get homophobia from others of the LGBTQ+ community because they don't think your sexuality is valid/think that your sexuality is responsible for some stereotypes /is transphobic/have other misconceptions about it. Oh, and let's not forget those of us who have mental illnesses and get accused of giving other people form the LGBTQ+ community a 'bad image' because of it. I'm so happy that most of these don't actually happen to me personally/only over the internet instead of said to my face. I'm not sure I could handle the latter…

Here's some statistical data from the CDC and UCLA Law along with LGBT groups promoting awareness of LBGT DV issues. This is not old outdated homophobic whatever the hell you're selling. This is from 2014. Why don't you care about this issue. Nobody should be committing DV acts against their partner regardless of their orientation. mainweb-v.musc.edu/vawprevention/lesbianrx/factsheet.shtml www.advocate.com/crime/2014/09/04/2-studies-prove-domestic-violence-lgbt-issue www.cdc.gov/media/releases/2013/p0125_NISVS.html williamsinstitute.law.ucla.edu/wp-content/uploads/Intimate-Partner-Violence-and-Sexual-Abuse-among-LGBT-People.pdf The CDC’s 2010 National Intimate Partner and Sexual Violence Survey, released again in 2013 with new analysis, reports in its first-ever study focusing on victimization by sexual orientation that the lifetime prevalence of rape, physical violence, or stalking by an intimate partner was 43.8 percent for lesbians, 61.1 percent for bisexual women, and 35 percent for heterosexual women, while it was 26 percent for gay men, 37.3 percent for bisexual men, and 29 percent for heterosexual men (this study did not include gender identity or expression). Intimate Partner Violence and Sexual Abuse among LGBT People 3 Table I. Prevalence of Lifetime Intimate Partner Violence and Intimate Partner Sexual Lifetime intimate partner violence table on page 3 of the PDF states that lesbians experience 40% lifetime intimate partner violence It's right there on the 3rd page of that report. I'd be more polite but, with all due respect, pull your head out of your ass. It's annoying to me that people that are supposedly pro LBGTIA ignore any problematic data that doesnt fit their perspective. Meanwhile real people suffer at their peril. Stuff like this makes me believe you are willfully ignorant rather than just plain uninformed.

Idk if anyone else has a problem similar to this, but there is a girl I've known for nine years. She's my best friend, and I've had a huge crush on her for a while now. Over the summer, we figured out we were mutually crushing on each other, and we became a thing. It was confusing, and we didn't quite know what this thing was - we're both extremely shy, and both of us are far too nervous to kickstart the "are we dating? are we girlfriends?" conversation. That was in July. It is September now. We still haven't talked it over. (though I *have* formulated a plan to officially ask her out.) The only other people who know about us are two of our best friends. I'm scared to tell my family, like my sisters and my parents, because I don't know how they'll react. They already know I'm queer, but as I said, this girl has been my best friend for nine years now. I know my mom looks at her like her own daughter, and assumes I see her in a similar light - like she's my sister. I don't, I look at her like the incredible beacon in my life that she is. It's just such a big change. I don't want them to look at her differently. Basically, what I'm saying is: it can be hard to tell your family you're dating someone of the same gender, even if you're technically "out". In my own experience, it's especially hard if your family has previously known them for a long time. I would be totally A-OK with telling them I was dating a girl if she was someone they hadn't watched grow up right beside me. It's kind of like dating while in the closet, except it's your relationship that's in the closet, not you. And it can be stressful. I don't know what anyone could do with this comment. I'm sure even if others have similar problems, it isn't all too common. But I wanted to say it anyway. Make of my story what you will.
@molinajay4938

It comes to how much faith you have in your family. Since I don't know them I can't really say, but I will assume they are nice. If they are, then I don't think it would be much of a problem. The only thing that could happen is it being awkward while they figure out how to act.After that I could come back to normal or something better may even happen. I haven't yet been in a relationship and can't understand what you are feeling right now or ever be able to, but I would just try and see. From my experience from other situations, things could go worse for a bit and then come back better than ever before. This may take time, however, but it always sometime does and you would be able to go trough it.

I don't think it applies to whether you'd date a specific individual, but the fact that you think that absolutely *no one* in that entire group could possibly be attractive enough to you for a relationship to work. I mean, if you think the most conventionally attractive, nice person who's, let's say, black is still not as attractive as an ugly person of your preferred skin color, that's a bit worrying. I guess it all boils down to what is causing a person to have that preference.
@Yas-zq4rk
@Yas-zq4rk 6 жыл бұрын
Vite Seul that's reasonable. But I don't date black people, it's not like I will NEVER date one. It's just that i'm not that attracted to them. Black people have different features than white people, even hair and bodies. Just because I don't find them attractive does not mean I am racist.
@Yas-zq4rk
@Yas-zq4rk 6 жыл бұрын
Vite Seul Also there can be things that cause preference other than racism and transphobia. Each have their own reasons, and not all of them are bad things. This whole debate is biased as hell, no one would complain if a black person refused to date a white person and it happens more than the opposite. No one would complain if a trans person refused to date a cis person.

Yasmine H Aesthetic preferences are fine! They're normal, and not really racist. Fetishization isn't just liking or not liking a race, though. It's saying that dating a race is better because members of that race are better at sex, have larger genitals, are submissive, are fiesty... Racial fetishization is like thinking that Asian women are more submissive than other races. (This is an actual real life example that some people believe in) This has led to several rape cases where the perpetrator said they chose Asian women specifically because he thought they were submissive and would take it, and not report it. Basically, preferences in dating based on how a race looks is fine. Preferences based on sexual stereotyping is not. (That's what fetishization is)

While I agree that it does vary person to person on how far they want to take the sensual/physical part of the relationship, being sex-positive, sex-neutral, or sex-repulsed is something that can be an occurrence in any sexuality (albeit its more prominently found within the Asexual Community since it is more accepted there than in the Allosexual Communities for numerous reasons). My biological mother is heterosexual and is massively sex-repulsed while I myself am asexual and sex-neutral.

Aphobia is a pretty nasty hurdle as well. It's not easy to be in a relationship with someone when you always have that nagging feeling that they're going to eventually ask you to do something you're uncomfortable with, especially if you haven't been with the person for very long and/or you know they could physically overpower you. Many people still don't believe asexuality, aromantacism, and agenderism even exist, which can lead to harassment, abuse, and much worse for the aspec person involved. If you're dating an aspec person, the best thing you can do for them is to ask them where their lines are drawn. Some aces may not feel aroused, but will still engage in sex to make their partner happy, others not so much. Every person is different, so it's important to establish boundaries so you and your partner can have the happiest relationship possible.

I will say that asexuals don’t specifically apply to lg relationships. Asexuals could be in a relationship with straight people. But I will also say that any moment where the threat of physical sexual assault plays an active role in your decisions is an unhealthy state for a relationship.

why post op? Which op, chest or genitalia? You can have very male traits with just testosterone injections. Maybe you are especially into dicks and that's ok but if you are just attracted to men there are plenty of ways to have fun without dicks whatever your orientation. imagine in real life, do you ask people how they are in their pants? maybe you can be cis and have problems with the size of your penis and it put pressure on trans people to be cis-like. If you find someone attractive and the person is uncomfortable about saying he is trans with or without op.?

One of the things that I'd throw out there is biphobia, too. I'm saying this particularly as a bi/pansexual woman who has often found it hard to date cisgender lesbian women, since we get a lot of the "not quite queer enough" rhetoric. (Note: Not saying cisgender lesbian women are bad, since I usually get hit with that when talking about my own personal experiences; I'm just saying that, within the community, there is quite a lot of stigma thrown at bi/pansexual women that originates there. I also see a lot of the same toward bi/pansexual men by cisgender gay men. All of this is without even taking into consideration how we're affected by a lot of cisgender straight people, too.)

Hey! How are you doing? I’m just here trying to find an ace that I can have a civilized talk with. Right out I’m going to say that I don’t think it’s wrong, I don’t think it’s bad, and you are definitely welcome in the LGBT+ community! But I do have to say, for most people in this world, intercourse is a very important factor in relationships, it has been proven but I’m not too certain on the reliability of that so don’t quote me on that. But yeah it’s just a very important and big aspect of relationship which can bring a greater bond and people just can’t have a stable relationship with an ace even if they tried, it’s just a preference, not hate. Now, I want to hear your side and opinion on the matter, why do you feel like you are being oppressed by being an ace in the dating scene? Thank you for taking your time to read this if you do. I would love to hear your response, I’m very interested in this!

Foki Hey There! So, just found this vid and, by proxy, this comment and, while I may not be the original commenter, as a total ace case I figured I might share my own side of things. I'm always happy to see when people open themselves to learning a bit more about it and, while I can't speak for everyone, I'm hoping I can help clear some things up. So, first thing's first, there is a bit of a common misconception about aces, but one that is perfectly understandable. Asexuals may not feel sexual attraction, but not all of them are unwilling to participate. It is also not directly tied to sex drive. Many aces do have sex drives, some of whom will turn to sex simply to satisfy that drive, while others are perfectly fine with self-pleasure. I have a friend who doesn't mind it, seeing it more like exercise than anything. It makes her girlfriend feel special and so she enjoys that bit of emotional connection afterwards. While I'm not a follower, a KZbinr named Ash Hardell made a video called 'How (some) Asexuals ... Have Sex'. If you're curious, it's the most comprehensive and thorough video I've seen on the topic thus far. On the opposite side, I'm a sex-repulsed ace. I don't mind viewing sex, but for whatever reason when I think of someone touching me below the waist, it makes my skin crawl on a visceral level. To clarify, I have never been abused before, I've never had a bad experience, and I genuinely don't know what has caused this strong reaction. I do accept the idea that one day I might find someone I'm comfortable enough with to push that boundary, but as it is, I'd simply prefer not to. That said, I am panromantic. This simply means that I'm romantically interested in all genders. I've just never wanted to have sex with any of them. I find happiness through strong emotional connections. Just like you can have sex without love, you can have love without sex (lol I'm sure there are some longstanding marriages that might be able to begrudgingly attest). It's the little things. Cuddling, holding hands, making dinner, or watching movies on the couch, covered in popcorn dust like complete slobs, and not caring because you're comfortable and just happy that you have each other's company. From my perspective, I've never understood why sex is such a big deal. Just seemed like an urge people had that they need to appease, like eating when you're hungry. No matter whether you have sex or don't, though, there are always complications. I would never say that I feel 'oppressed' when it comes to the dating scene. Nobody has ever actively shamed me for my sexuality or told me that I shouldn't be dating (Although hearing the "So you reproduce through mitosis?" joke for the 50,000th time gets VERY old). But, finding a partner can be incredibly tough. I've sometimes joked with friends that my dating life would be legitimately easier if I was gay. People know what gay is, even for those that believe it's a sin. A gay person could potentially date other gay people, bisexuals, pansexuals, and, potentially, interested asexuals. I'm not saying being gay is easy, by any means. Allow me to explain : Even though I'm Panromantic, I often describe my life on the dating scene as a hostage negotiation with your heart. I often feel like I've got about three options : 1) Hold out until you find another ace person that you like enough that you would want to pursue a romantic relationship with. I live in a very rural area. I've only ever met two other aces in person and didn't even know what the term was until college. Up until that point, I thought I must be broken or super picky or something. So, long story short, the whirlwind ace romance in my neck of the woods is like trying to find a shiny pokemon. It's possible, but I have too much to do in my life to be that dedicated to finding one. Kudos to the people who have that kind of patience. 2) Stay single. Sometimes I'm okay with this option. I remind myself that my life is enriched by my family and friends. But, sometimes, it really does hurt when I meet someone I think is cute and then I have to just let that connection go or never let it develop into anything because I don't want to risk the rejection or sound like a total freak when I inevitably have to explain my situation. 3) Open yourself up to dating a non-ace person. This leads into the following scenarios : a) My partner remains abstinent. While this is ideal for me, and there are couples out there that make it work, it can also lead to feelings of guilt or insecurity. Guilt on behalf of myself for knowing I'm denying them something they may want and insecurity on behalf of some partners who date asexuals, but can't help the fact that they feel sad that their partner does not find them sexually desirable. Of course, in a healthy relationship, you would hopefully be able to talk to each other so you can work through those issues together. b) I indulge my partner in sex. This is very difficult for me. Like I said, some aces do it, but for this ace I honestly do not know what it would take for me to even attempt something that involves direct touching of my lower region. So, for me, this is off the table. Especially since I never want to lead someone on with the idea that maybe, just maybe, if they hold out long enough I'll cave. That just doesn't seem healthy for anyone involved. c) Allow my partner to get sexual gratification elsewhere. By this, I don't mean porn. I mean allowing them to have sex with other people. I have met a non-ace couple that made this work, but I am not naive about myself. I have my own insecurities and trust issues. I'm the type of person who lets people walk all over me, and anytime this option comes to mind I just see myself in tears as I wait for the day my partner finds someone who fulfills all their needs, cheats (in this situation 'cheating' would be seeing this person beyond just a single hookup and pursuing them intimately and romantically), and leaves me for that person. This has nothing to do with my partner, I recognize that. But, as someone who doesn't have any frame of reference for why sex is so important to people or why anyone would cheat to satisfy those impulses, it stirs up a lot of fear and confusion. Oh my word, and don't even get me started on the anxiety of when I'm interested in someone and it's like "How on earth do I tell them I'm ace without it sounding like I'm a total freak or I'm just rejecting them? When has it ever been a good move to go up to someone and be like 'Hey, I'm gay and I hope you're cool with that because I'd love to date you'. Do I wait until I see if they're interested in a date and then tell them? At what point? But what if they think I've lead them on?" and it just spirals until I'm like "You know what? They deserve better. They'll find someone much better than me to be happy with anyway." So yeah, even getting that initial date can be an absolute nightmare, especially if you're in a rural area like me and there is pretty much nothing in terms of LGBT+ meetups. So yeah, that's my lengthy, probably pretty pathetic sounding, but honest explanation. Sorry. There was just a lot to unpack. I'm not saying dating is hopeless when you're ace, but it can be a lot more complicated than some might initially think. Granted, this is all based off of my own personal experiences. Honestly, though there's a lot to be said about the toxic side of reddit, I'd honestly suggest taking a glance at the /r/Asexuality subreddit if you ever get curious about some questions aces and partners of aces tend to have. They can be very enlightening sometimes.

ZitaInk Oh thank you so much for responding! It’s okay you’re not the same person, I just needed someone to give me a perspective. Thank you for teaching me about all of this and taking time off your day! Also, don’t respond to the other person, I mean everyone has their opinion right? It’s okay to and I respect it, but it has nothing to do with the topic at hand so how about we just move on? Well thank you for all of this information and for having a good talk with me, they are rare to have in the internet. I now understand much more than I did before! Though I do have to say, just as you don’t get the appeal of sex (which is totally fine!), I can’t really see myself in a relationship without it. You could say I’m very into the BDSM side of things. But for me, the owner/pet thing is much more than just a kink, it’s a way of living for me, I live to serve. I guess it’s a way of being this girl that has someone that protects her, which I never really had. But people are always like, “that’s disgusting, why would you let someone control you like that?” or “they’re going to end up abusing and cheating on you” which has never been the case. I’ve gotten abused more times in a relationship that’s not based around this because dominants actually know what the word no means and they take it seriously. But well I’m in a loving relationship with my mistress right now! I love the romantic and cute side which makes me feel safe and protected but I also enjoy the naughty side! But even with our differences we can still get along and that’s the beauty of it! I may not get you, you may not get me. But it’s because we don’t know the other person's experience. But even then we can do our research and learn more which is what I love about technology! Hehe sorry if this was too long too, it just such an interesting topic that I want to know more about and have a conversation with someone! Thank you for reading and taking your time, I await your response!... if you want obviously hehe.

I mean, you're technically correct, if you limit it to just LGBT. Though, as sexuality continues to become more understood and explored, people tend to use LGBT+ as the general term for someone who doesn't quite fit the norm in terms of sexuality or gender. / shrug / Just a heads up, we're the A of LGBTQA, not 'allies' as it is sometimes mistaken. And, in all fairness, LGBT just genuinely rolls off the tongue better and is much less of a mouthful. On the street, it definitely makes it sound less pretentious than using the full acronym, since most people generally get the gist. And it really sounds a LOT better than saying we're part of the 'Non-straights', which just sounds hostile to the ear lol. Edit : Also forgot to mention, I'm queer, if that means anything lol. At least I think that's the right term? Basically I really don't mind being referred to as either gender and I'm pretty androgynous to begin with. Just sort of a clarification that I'm not entirely cis.

i'm sorry it happened to you... no offense, i'm kinda confused myself about this topic, but i think it's more fair and right to date other aces if you're an ace (especially now, when the apps allow finding the others). sex is an important physical and emotional part of life of so many people, i guess, and they can't just get rid of the expectations of their relationship because you came out as an asexual to them... it's a pain for everyone if you're just "not a match" in this regard. i'd be interested what others think to that.

Sorry no, this is just giving people more of an excuse to shame someone that doesn’t date them because they don’t fit into the other persons preferences. Some people will be attracted to you and some won’t, some will want just sex, some want to date. Most of these are not just LGBT issues. Be honest in who you are and what you’re lookin’ for and you will encounter less hang ups.

It's mentally exhausting for me 20 years looking for boyfriend meanwhile in my country being gay is prohibited. Also, many gay men here just want to having one night stand, not long term. My body issue also prohibited myself to looking guy for date, I'm fat, ugly (I'm looking like a female) and I'm having anxiety and adhd. I'm 37 years old. After all I'm just give up on relationship, god might give me the best choice for me to be forever alone.

Psych2Go a video on asexuality, and the ace spectrum would be cool too! A nice place to start since there is so much stigma, and/or more trans/non binary videos. Just noticing a lot of misinformed people in the comments, and a lot of hate mongering :(

Olivia Smith asexuality is like a hormonal imbalance and not a sexuality. You are not part of the community unless you are gay, lesbian, bi, or trans

Olivia Smith And also the ace-spectrum like demisexuality (experiencing sexual attraction to someone whom you have a strong emotional connection with; you don't wanna fuck with strangers), etc.!
