Yeah I never understood this sentiment that res5 and even 6 "can't" be remade. The whole point of a remake is exactly that. To re-make the the game that was already made, but do it better. To fix anything that went wrong the first time and create the best version of this this game that they can. Better graphics, better narrative, better pacing, better acting, better mechanics, better enemies, better bosses. The list goes on of things that _could_ be improved upon.

Ok, let's get the terminology out of the way first. A remaster is a port of a game from an older platform to a newer platform, usually with updated frame rates, higher resolution, and some quality of life updates... but not always. A remake is a brand new game from the ground up. Not all the games you listed are getting REMAKES, but Remasters, even if they aren't called them. I don't mind remasters as long as they come at a discounted price and maybe an even further discount/free for the people who own the previous digital/physical version and can prove it. (Insert disc etc etc) #1. Horizon Zero Dawn - REMASTER - Appears to be a remaster, which is fine if they can work some of the things in from Horizon 2, maybe even slip onto H2's engine. #2. Prinece of Persia: Sands of Time - REMAKE -Already has a remaster on the PS3, which came with the entire trilogy, and is playable on the Xbox One/Series. A remake however sounds great if they keep it to the original game, or trilogy and try to recreate it as best they can without going into full re-imagination territory, or have large portions of the game removed #3. Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit - REMAKE - Fully agreed, they should work on expanding and growing their series instead of remaking them. More Underground,. More Hot Pursuit.. how about NEW BURNOUTS!! #4. Silent Hill 2 - REMAKE - Silent Hill 2 is NOT Survival Horror, it is Psychological Horror, but you're right it is the GOAT. The game should be properly remastered and preserved, not remade. Unless the remake team has the time, talent, care, love and effort to truly recreate the original game in all it's glory along with the Born from a Wish expansion. I do NOT trust Blooper team with this. #5. Uncharted - REMAKE - I'd say the game at most needs another remaster with some quality of life features added for the combat. While the idea of a remake is nice, I'd prefer to see all the games get this touch instead of just the first. #6. Until Dawn - REMASTER - It's just a remaster with updated visual, framerate, audio, new gameplay modes, and additional content. Will also be coming out on PC alongside the PS5 release. #7. Assassin's Creed: Black Flag - REMAKE - Yea, another that should just be a remaster. I personally hated Black Flag because I hated the ship portion, I just wanted to run around and do my assassin thing like I did the first 5 games before Black Flag. #8. Resident Evil 5 - REMAKE - They're just trying to bring the series in line with another REmake, and like with 4, will try and make it entirely serious instead of keeping the more comedic and hammy elements in. (I personally feel that while REmake2, 3 and 4 are good, even amazing games, they are horrible Remakes. They lost a lot of the content, subtext, heart, and soul of the originals. 4 Does come close when you include the Ada content though) So yeah, of your list there are 2 Remaster and 6 Remakes.

I even bought a vita for a friend of mine who has since passed away, but i put mega man legends 1, 2 and misadventures of tron bonne onto it as well as the dlc from that silent hill game book of memories. I don't remember NFS: Underground 2 very well...I remember I played it, but NFS:MW is by far my fav from the older gens. Of all time though, NFS: Rivals is my go to. It doesn't need a remake though . I don't buy new games out the gate often, however a NFS:MW remake would bypass that restriction I place upon myself.

RE0, RE1, and Code Veronica all need remakes before RE5. However, I'd rather see Dino Crisis and Dino Crisis 2 remakes before any of those. RE5 should be remade, it should be a point by point retelling (minus the boulder punch), and it should incorporate exactly the same enemies. There are indeed vicious African tribes in West Africa. They don't even have the excuse of a virus for their behavior, and Capcom should give a big middle finger to anyone that gets offended by that fact. What's more, they should also make sure Sheva retains her tribal outfit and let everyone know that hot chicks in skimpy outfits are fun to look at so those westerners can just get over themselves. If they want to have any concessions they can give Chris a tribal loincloth outfit. Might even be fun to see the metrics of how many play as that vs. Sheva....

I could understand Sony doing Ps 1 and 2 era remakes but not beyond that. How is Uncharted 1 more in need than a Ratchet & Clank 1 -3. Stop doing drugs Playstation Management.
